Can we all agree she was fucking boring.

Frustrating is more like it
is that the Ridge Racer hoe?
loved her small titties though. bet she had some nice smooth puffy nipples.
i want more video games based around vietnam and other modern wars versus the futuristic crap. probably just me tho
Something like this?
>>2924634
idk anon it was pretty big for a while there, what kinds of games were you itching for? strategy? simulation? rpg? FPS?
beat this as a kid
I laugh that it's considered bad now
was mah jam
anyone remember this?
>>2923776
Yes, I got a letter I wrote featured on it in 2002.
Is this Ceefax? I never thought I'd see this considered as a game.

Aertel in Ireland lol. You could play simple interactive games on it like video poker or quizes.... but that involved dialing a premium hotline. I'm still not sure how it worked because it confused me a lot as a child.
I was a Nintendo 64 kid and I missed out on the original PlayStation's library, so I've been trying to get caught up. How is Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver? I've heard it described as a more mature Ocarina of Time, and from videos of it, it seems like God of War before God of War was a thing.
It's nothing like God of War. Something like Darksiders is closer.
Great game, but I don't know if it aged well.
soul reaver is not even close to god of war, but check this bitch out

>it seems like God of War before God of War was a thing
That's not too far off actually (assuming you mean "puzzle game masquerading as an action game"), though Soul Reaver's story is miles ahead of GoW's garbage.
What are some fun turn-based games for GB/GBC?
>>2915031
Theres Dragon Warrior and some Final Fantasy ones too I think
>>2915031
Final Fantasy Legend 1/2(some people like 3)
>game about fast character
>game wants you to go fast
>design of stages is setup so if you go fast you'll run straight in hazard or enemy thus losing your rings
So, if you go slow you're better off. So why go fast?
>>2919947
Because sonic a shit.
Super Mario Bros is faster paced and so much more gratifying when you blast through a level at non stop full sprint.
>>2919947
Its almost as if you have to get good at the game, like the programmers didn't want it to be easy.
>>2919958
I swear, a lot of young people these days have no idea how to play these games. I've seen people commenting on normal Sonic videos about how amazed they are by the speed... that's how fast you're supposed to go. You master a level and then fly through it, so when you beat the game it doesn't take 12 hours there being no save function in Sonic 2. No wonder the save staters of today have no idea how Sonic is meant to be played, they played through the levels once.
Is this the greatest 2D platformer of all time, or what?

Yes.

That's not Little Samson.
None of the SNES DKC games are good.
Virtual Boy references in anime and manga. Pic related.

I didn't even know this was big enough thing to warrant a thread but I love it.
Do you guys know of any decent rom for Contra Hard Corps?
this game was never dumped, I'm afraid
>>2924646
This, the rom literally does not exist
I actually found rom on romnation.com but it isnt a good copy.
What retro FPS has good co-op?
I played through Duke 3D with my friend but it wasn't as fun as I was hoping. It felt like more of a singleplayer game with co-op tacked on.
Hexen or Hexen 2?
DOOM and DOOM II co-op kicks ass.
Playing System Shock 2 with a buddy is loads of fun, we both planned our builds beforehand and covered each others weaknesses.
Who in their right mind thought this game was a good idea? Did anybody on /vr/ actually enjoy this steaming pile of shit, or even manage to complete it without extensively consulting a guide?
I don't even know where to begin.
Instead of exploring an open-world like you do in SF1, you progress through a series of chapters that span several decades. Once you enter a chapter, you're locked in. There's no backing out. If you selected a chapter that's too difficult for your party to handle at their current level, then you're screwed and likely...

Points of no return appear in the most arbitrary spots. Backtrack one screen? The chapter inexplicably ends before you had a chance to grind or pick up any treasures. Advance one screen? Suddenly you're trapped in a new location and simply aren't allowed to backtrack through the open pathway that you just stumbled through, which is still visibly open.
The game often strands you in locations that don't permit you any access to shops, inns or other...

Well, color me surprised.
At least it looked very good.
Triangle + R2 solved most of my problems with the game.
There must be people that appreciate the original Spyro and Crash games like me, right? General PSX reminisce thread

Are there any good (retro) games for Linux?
What are your experiences?

Mednafen is breddy good

>Bumbing with other questions:
How about native retro games?
Is this even a thing?
Also: how about remakes?
Are there any re-released retro games that are now Linux-compatible?
Hey everyone! I love discovering old / bizarre / hard-to-find games, and I assume most of you do too. So I thought this would be a good excuse to spread the word that you can make some quick money writing for HardcoreGaming101. Personally, I think it's a fun excuse to play some games, teach others about them, and make a little money.
So basically I'm here to make a list of interesting / rare games that don't currently have articles on that site. I'd write up some of them myself, except that many of them are only available in Japanese (which I'm...

My Garden (PS1) (Japan only)
Technosoft had a long history of making shoot-em-ups, so naturally they decided to make this... flower girl simulator? That's right! Finally you can live out your lifelong dream of being a cute little girl who sells flowers to strangers in a quaint country town. The actual gameplay seems suspiciously similar to Harvest Moon, as you tend to your garden and make friends in the village.

I can't believe there's no hg101 section for the Phantasy Star series
>There are several topics that we have bounties on (see below)
And they never mention the exact topics they are looking for.
Keep in mind they seem to want you to use an HD capture card to do screenshots for articles unless you are doing PS2, Gamecube, or Wii. If you don't have one, they won't accept your work.
