What am I supposed to be seeing here?

I wonder if anyone ever considered in his life writing a suicide note with:
MARIO END!
/dark humour off
>>2817690
MARIO ('s turn) START!
LUIGI ('s turn) START!
Why these aren't as successful as they used to be.
why they sage as quick then before?
Cmon guys i mean how many of the sells were scams to begin with?
>>2816873
they dropped off when people wanted harder to find games and only had garbage in return
>>2816880
But what about the guy who was selling his collection that had megaman 7 and a few repros.?
I offered up Zelda:Alttp and Super Metroid for well under what ebay asks. No takers.
Hi /vr/, what are some games where after you "beat" the game, you can keep playing and there's new side quests, maybe a new overall goal, and some of the characters might address that you've completed the main goal of the game. Not just NG+ or going back and finding all the collectibles, like new challenges/quests open up.
The Pokemon games usually do this. In Gen 1, only Mewtwo's cave opened up, but in Gen 2 you had the entire world from the first game with its own sub-quests. The newer games have a lot of stuff, too.
Lunar 2's epilogue.
Gold and silver only fit in Kanto because they went back and optimized the code so well that they could afford to. It wasn't planned supposedly.
>>2814883
Didn't know that. Why'd they'd bother going back to optimize the code? I guess they wanted to improve upon it in Silver/Gold.
Megaman battle network 3
is there any way to make this game bearable? i feel bad for never finishing it since i adore i and iv
>>2813551
Git gud?
I guess that really depends on where in the game you got stuck. If you can't into the dungeons right at the beginning, then that's on you - the game doesn't really get much easier than that later on.
Some general tips:
1) Upgrade everyone's weapons and armor before you go to fightNeifirst. She'll fuck you up pretty badly if you don't, but the fight's reasonably easy if everyone's got the best armor available.
2) Save Rolf's TP for really...

Like most old JRPGs, it's a chore to play. But it's also really easy if you know what you're doing. At some point you'll find items that can be used in battle to cast spells (some for healing, some for damage, some for buffs). You can give every character in your party two shields and just use those items and you'll breeze through the game without using any tp.
Use the menu glitch to get out of dangerous areas in a pinch. Just don't abuse it, or you'll be chronically under leveled.
So PlayAsia is doing some contest thing where you have to identify the games being played just by looking at a VMU screen.

You guys down for being scumbags and doing this together and beating this shit?
>>2813182
Didn't only a handful of games even use the VMU screen for anything special?
>>2813182
So far all I've got is:
1. Mortal Kombat: Gold
8. Jet Set Radio
9. ChuChu Rocket
21. Quake 3 Arena

Nothing in this thread will actually impact the OP
It's futile nonsense manufactured to force disagreement over subjective bullshit
Which PS1 RPGs are still worth playing today?
imo...
FF7, FF9, Legend of Mana, Star Ocean Second Story, Suikoden 1&2, Final Fantasy Tactics, Chrono Cross
but there's probably more I forgot
Suikoden II
Wild ARMs 2
LUNAR 1 + 2
Grandia
Valkyrie Profile
Vagrant Story
Parasite Eve
>>2812119
None of them. They weren't worth playing back then either.
Why did Billy murder Marian?
>>2812071
That's not Billy, that's one of the ninja guys you fight at the end of Mission 2.
>>2812137

You got rused mate. It was Billy's twin, Bimmy, all along.
Let's talk about this game, I loved it so much and rarely hear about it on this board.
About to start it again for the first time since I finished it in 99 and I always loved the story and mechanics of the game as a whole.
Story sucked hard, characters were walking cliches.
Mechanics of the game were okay and for the time the graphics were nice. The best part of the game had nothing to do with the game, it was the opening song. Also best girl dies at the end in a fucking awful cliche.

Shitty unmemorable game.
I bought it when it came out. Here's all I remember from it:
1. Chick with hammer
2. Some faggot repeating miniboss with a name like Bandriger or Bardigan or something like that
3. Macking on chicks made your weapons stronger because reasons
>>2811891
I don't really remember much about the game. I didn't enjoy it that much, and I gave up on the game because it kept freezing on me in some factory section (with a moving crane or something, I think?).
How did you like this controller?
For a long time I think it was the best you could get for pc. It was obnoxious MS had 100 products named sidewinder.
>>2811819
I used to own one of those. D-Pad was kinda a shit, but decent for the games I played with it. The whole tilt function was a nice enough novelty, but I don't think I used it all that much.
In general I was using my joysticks more.
There are much better options nowadays since you can hook your console controllers to a pc with the right connectors.
i had this one. it was ok.
Anyone got any tips on how to git gud at HoMM3?
Watch TheKnownWorld videos and wait for his promised new series which he hinted would be a guide.
watch meridian
play a lot

best PC engine games? I only played RoB and I want to explore the system's library
musts/underrated gems/good but not great games, you name it
pic unrelated
Dammit OP, you could've at lest used a related image. People are ignoring this based on the image.
Musts are mostly shooters, so if you like those it's a great system.
Best games imo for the system are
New Adventure Island
Jackie Chan's Action Kung-Fu
Bonk's Revenge
Castlevania Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (but you already knew that)
Alien Crush
Devil Crush
Blazing Lazers/Gunhed
Super Star Soldier
Final Soldier
Soldier Blade
Spriggan
Macross 2036
Gradius 2
Lords of Thunder
Kaze Kiri: Ninja Action

This. Also ignored it at first. Why are people always posting unrelated shitty images as OP or in thread pic here? It's not /b/ here.
Some neckbeard at IBM actually thought this was a good color scheme.
Why...
Name a better four color scheme.
IBMs were intended for business, not fun.
Teal and pink are a very 80s color scheme. In fact the Commodore 64's bright pastels are also distinctly period.
With a limited palette, pink and cyan isn't the worst combination for readability/contrast. How well it would work with complex graphics in games for one and a half neckbeard to play wasn't even an afterthought, that was back when computers were first of all work machines.
This is what the last few weeks of collecting have done for me.
Everything is complete and the 3D controller is still in the plastic for NiGHTS.
Pick up anything cool lately /vr/?
More like recent purchases from Jewbay? You wouldn't find this shit in the wild especially in immaculate condition.
The only retro shit I've found in the past week was a few PS1 games. DDR, Asteroids, and a longbox Wing Commander III all for $3. Everything else isn't retro.
>>2800565
OP here.
Everything was picked up locally. My entire collection was obtained locally through second hand shops or Kijiji.
Ebay is the devil.
