What is the saddest fall of a dynasty/royal family in history?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1CTxa-FuKc
>>1385700
I'm not sure, but I favor the romanovs.
Another possibility is the Sassanids.
>>1385700
What's so sad about Qing. It's not like they were saints.
what are the biggest lessons modern warfare has learnt from the Wehrmacht?
>>1396056
Dont bother with specialised tanks.
Infantry structured around a machine gun isn't needed.
Fanatical indoctrination can't replace good tactics and training.
Remember to concentrate force and act quickly so you can break through enemy lines.
Don't let people who hate you build up their military.
Select fire rifles in intermediate cartridges are pretty cool.
Belt fed, man portable machine guns are pretty cool.
Intercontinental ballistic missiles are extremely cool. So are jet fighters.
>>1396056
fixed fortifications are shit
>Why would you use this garbage over let's say a spear or bow and arrow?
Skall about swords
Expensive, difficult to master and maintain.
If you aren't a noble or a professional soldier then there really isn't any reason to use a sword over an axe and spear.
>>1394737
There is no reason to use an axe either.
What is the big difference between jewish sephardis, mizrahis and askenazis in both cultural and physical terms?
We only know about the askenazi stereotype because they are more well known but waht about the others?
Geographically, the Sephardi and Ashkenazi were displaced out of the middle east.
The Sephardi got displaced to the Iberian Peninsula.
The Ashkenazi were displaced to central/eastern Europe.
While the Mizrahi were around the middle east and Northern Africa.
>>1382909
I would like to know more about their cultural differences.
I heard that sephardis were able to have lands and were less inbred than the askenazis.
>>1382925
Ashkenazi Jews mostly bred with other Jews (up until recently).
There were also many Ashkenazi villages that were separated from other ethnic or religious groups.
There could be a chance that some might have inbred, however Judaism has quite a few commandments (laws) that strictly prohibit inbreeding.
I am not too informed about Sephardi Jews however.
I do now however that because of things like the inquisition and such many of them practiced secretly around that time.
Why was she such a controversial figure to Brits? Because she divorced the prince? Because she liked Brown guys? She seems just as boring as the rest of the Royals.
>>1388544
She was just a mentally crazy party girl who got involved in the royal family far more than she should have.
Her obvious arab fetish was weird too.
>>1388544
She's only controversial to edgy contrarian /pol/tards. Litterally 99% of the country adored her.
Was she controversial? I get the impression she was almost universally loved (unlike the prince).
Can we agree that all criticism of Nietzsche is simply a misunderstanding of him?
Can we also agree no one has ever rebutted Nietzsche's glorious praise of Islam?
>Christianity destroyed for us the whole harvest of ancient civilization, and later it also destroyed for us the whole harvest of Mohammedan civilization. The wonderful culture of the Moors in Spain, which was fundamentally nearer to us and appealed more to our senses and tastes than that of Rome and Greece, was trampled down (—I do not say by what sort of feet—) Why? Because...

None of the popular atheists know Scripture well enouh to settle debates; neither do I follow the popular nor do your deluded retarded memes apply to me. My post was antitheist. I somewhat doubt your kind can learn new proper words.

Why are African apologists so insincere and dishonest that they can call pic related an empire?
benin :DDDD
benin :DDDD
Benin :DDDDD
But really, African apologists suck. But since when do they call Benin and empire?
Usually west Africa is Mali/Songhai.
>you will never have a qt chinese revolutionary gf whose idealism and vision for a better world is beautiful, innocent and pure, while you both are sadly unaware of the incoming horrors of Maoism and are powerless to stop it
why even live

I know that feel and it saddens me greatly.
When's the new naively idealistic revolution gonna happen, folks? I need to escape this prison of nihilism.
>settling for some skinny bitch with a false understanding of leftism

>you will never go on LRRPs with Force Recon and call in Arc Lite runs on VC columns that had no idea you were even there
Have historically equal societies been better to live in than unequal societies?
>>1393267
>Have historically equal societies
Such as...? Naive egalitarianism is a meme. Engels was a shitty anthropologist, and his work in "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State" has been widely discredited by contemporary analysis.

The conflict between pagans and christians prior to the total christianization of Europe is very interesting.
Tell me about it, or recommend reading.
I would also be interested in this.
In all honesty, there was not that much 'resistance' on part of the pagans. This because paganism is not an established religion like Christianity: it does not have any real central tenet or one central figure or establishment, and unlike the Abrahamic religions, paganism does (did) not generally compete with others for exclusivity.
There was some resistance from some philosophers and scholars such as Poryphry and Celsus, who wrote treatsies against the religion. Then there was also Emperor Julian (called the Apostate by later Christians), who sought to return...

I am more interested in the Pagan resistance to Christianity TODAY.
We always have threads about who is the villain of history.
But who would you say is the hero/main character of history?

Why do /his/torians see everything in black and white?
The proletariat.

So apparently in the new upcoming Battlefield 1 game there's some Black German soldiers on Europe's side. History-wise did this ever happen?
Pic related.
Of course it happened

Is that world war 1?
And really they should've just made an expansion about the abyssinian war if they wanted to have nignogs. I mean, seeing Italy get BTFO by Based Ethiopia woulda been nice.
