What if the the Byzantine Empire had won or not have the Battle of Manzikert, assuming that history plays out similar to our timeline with the exception of events influenced by the fall of the Byzantine Empire and such (The Crusades)?

It would have been known as the battle of Theodosiopolis then
>>
>>1217831
If the battle of Manzikert had been won then the Byzantine Empire would've remained a powerhouse, there wouldn't have been the crusades in the first place and who knows how different history would've been.

Here's another question, how would this alternate Byzantine fare against the Mongols?

Why did the burgers kill each other again?

Don't say slavery.
>>
>>1216004
The North was afraid that cheap slave labor would destroy their jobs, and that the South, with their ability to import humans and then assume two thirds of their votes in the House of Representatives and in the Electoral collage, would outmaneuver them and render American democracy meaningless.

The South was worried that as more states were added to the union, the political balance of the country would tip towards the abolitionists, and they'd eventually have their entire social system destroyed.

I think one of the reasons was that the Federal Government was using taxes to expand Northern industry at the expense of Southern agriculture. Weren't the taxes much greater than the ones that sparked the American Revolution as well?

not at all

My sources (see pic) tell me that the United States had knowledge that Japan expressed willingness to surrender WWII in messages to other countries a year before the bombing, and they were on their last legs by the time they were bombed, and Harriet Truman ignored this so the Atomic Bomb could be finished and he wanted to show it off to the Soviet Union.

Was that true? I think it's at odds with Harriet Truman's warning to Japan to surrender.

Then perhaps they should have surrendered
>>
To my understanding they were willing to surrender if they got to keep some lands from korea and china.
>>
>>1214156
They didn't surrender after the first bombing, so no. Not to mention the firebombing which killed more than the atomics.

Fasting can induce hallucination.[1]

This also happened to be one Jesus', Muhammad's, Buddha's, and Moses' favorite activities, and significant relevations happened to them after fasting.

Coincidence?

What do religious people have to say about this?

Christians must by definition believe in both demons and Satan.

The new testament is FULL of references to demons: it was Jesus' power to cast out demons that was considered one of his most serious proofs of divinity. Jesus not only casts out demons in the NT, but talks with them.

Jesus is also tempted by the devil in the desert, who offers him power. This devil is called 'Satan' by name in Mark, and Jesus actually says that he witnessed Satan fall from heaven. Satan is also identified by other names, like Beelzebub.

Nope.

While the Germans had excellent small unit tactics with the introduction of the Sturmtruppen, I don't really know if I can say that any one army was the best for WWI. But one thing is for sure, it wasn't the Austro-Hungarians, Italians, or Russians.
