Gettysburg. The rifle in the photo was a prop rifle that the photographer and his team placed in many of the photographs, since most of the weapons of the fallen soldiers had already been removed of the battlefield and they wanted to place the bodies into the proper context. It's also been speculated that the photographer posed or moved some of the bodies in order to get better composition.

I'm doing a paper comparing the military tactics of the Crusaders and Muslim armies and I need some sources. Mostly i want to talk about how the cavalry armies of the Muslims were able to raid and light attack the heavier Crusader armies and how the Crusaders had to change their tactics to meet this new enemy. any help would be greatly appreciated /his/

It was marginal success. It sank 2 or 3 destroyers I think, and took one out of operation for the rest of the war but it wasn't enough. The usa didn't keep all their ships in one harbor. That's why usa went out and took over Guam and the Philippeans, to put naval bases on their islands.
