What does /his/ think about Mutualism? Is a free market system possible without capitalism? It could be possible to put a mutualist economic system into practice?

Why didn't the Euro's try to take over Liberia during the Scramble for Africa? Was it protected under America? It clearly was (is) easy pickings
>>1354722
It was considered a nation though.
>>1354722
It would be like the Boer Wars but more publicized. Utter political suicide.
There was no reason to, really. It was an American colony in Africa for Free Blacks by Americans
Has history shown Hobbes to be right? Why or why not?
Sort of.
The Leviathan became not a monarch, but a state.
>>1354680
Yes and no. At least in the modern West his ideas did not persist, but the ideas of those he inspired did. Both Locke and Rousseau were unsatisfied with the conclusion Hobbes came to (any state is good, because even the most oppressive and borderline totalitarian king is better than having no state at all) and came up with solutions to the problem Leviathan posed.
I guess it was one of those philosophical cases where the answer did not matter as much as the fact that the question was asked.
>>1354680
Well a monarch or a monarch like leader has proven to be pretty bad compared to constitutional republics, So no he was not right
Is Charles Manson actually the worst inmate still in jail today in history more than 25 years ago in the US?
What does /his/ argue over inmates that've been incarcerated for more than 25 years?
>>1354549
I'm still surprised at how much sense his analysis of The White Album makes.
he didn't even kill anyone. I think he regrets his life and feels remorse but idk if I want him on the street with the way he acts.
He's evil, but he never actually even killed anyone himself. That alone definitely precludes him from being the worst.
Is there a more miserable country in the history of the world than Russia?

Ask a public school history teacher anything.
How did you become a teacher? I'm interested in becoming a history or English teacher.
How do you approach to teaching history?
How do you deal with the fact many kids find history boring?
How do you deal with all the attractive young women?
>>1354498
Started as an aid in college, then decided to get a teacher's education and do it full time.
>>1354508
I try to be as detailed and visceral in explaining events and concepts as possible, without trying to come off as "look how hip I am lol". I study favorite speakers and authors and draw from them how to invest an audience in the subject.
>How do you deal with all the attractive young women?
It's hard to...

Let's ask the Arch Duke and all the people who died in World War I.

But WW1 was inevitable. It would have happened sooner or later.
>>1354435
Yes, such as when Rome treacherously and shamefully destroyed Carthage.

When the founding fathers won their war for independence, how long did they think the union would last? Would they be surprised to learn that their union is now coming up on it's 45th Presidential election? Many nations have sputterd out or split up sooner.
And on that point I wonder just how powerful they thought The United States of America would become. Could they have imagined the most powerful fleets in the world, sailing through every ocean under their (sorta) flag? What would they think of their nation spanning from Atlantic to the Pacific and into the 21st century?

After the meeting we all got high as fuck and laughed about the shit we just done. Georgie boy grew this chronic ass outdoor bud, the recipe had been passed down from his family for generations, that's why we all loved the son of a bitch.
P.S. Ever wonder why money is green? George smoked so much fucking weed 6 days out of 7 he was comatose.

Today, June 30th, marks the aniversary of the Night of the Long Knives, when Hitler purged the SA leadership including Ernst Rohm (pic related) and Gregor Strasser, both leaders of the left wing branch of the NDSP, what is often now referred to as Strasserism (after Otto Strasser) or 3rd Position Fascism, the part of the party which actually believed in socialism and the "second revolution" to overthrow capitalism.
Rohm, the head of the SA, was an open homosexual and so were many of his lieutenants. It strikes me as a strange coincidence that the last day of...

Also, regardless of everything his two books lucifer's court and crusade against the Grail have left such a deep impression in me that I'll never forget.
Also, I got into researching this stuff after listening to Death In June and it's frontman Douglas Pearce. Weird music. Extremely alienated, and not at all the typical skinhead punk, Oi! or black metal white nationalist crap. For one, there isn't any "hate speech". The music is too romantic for hatred like that.
