Also, this practice must be divorced from actual historical, social, and philosophical concerns. It's why he had such a hard time debating Foucault. Foucault was the much more consistent and incisive of his critiques of power and the constructions of the idea of human nature. Chomsky just wanted to know which causes to support, and always has.
