How do you explain the fact that numerous mass graves full of armed women have been found?

Pre gunpowder era infantry was a meme I'm convinced it was some kind of prank why the fuck would anyone bother with them when cavalry and archers exist?
>muh extensive training
fucking Goth and Vandal barbarian forest niggers living in mud huts and singing hakuna matata every evening was cavalry oriented and you're telling me more civilized people couldn't pull it off?
Infantrymen were rused.

Barbarians didn't have complicated feudal systems. They were fucking skulls in their mudhuts and couldn't care less
Why is there so little appreciation for the British Empire, compared to other huge empires that influenced the world like Rome?

Next friday (june 10th) We're launching our historical RP minecraft server based around 1900 AD.
It is a historical rp server with plugins to help with immersion. Players make nations and these nations can trade, make treaties or alliances, and go to war with one another for land and glory. We're paying for our own board which we use for discussions regarding our server.
There will be a set amount of historic nations that can be claimed by groups of players prior to launch. All nations will have their historic borders already claimed. You can not make your own nation, you can either claim a pre-existing nation or join one. You can however get your own nation later by diplomacy or revolution.
We play on an accurate map of Europe, including parts of northern africa which will be unclaimed at the start and will be open for colonization.
We have created an original content resource pack with crackshot and custom weapons. You can use many different types of rifles along with flamethrowers, grenades, and artillery. Dyed leather armor will be re-skinned to military uniforms. There will also be brewcraft and you can sit in chairs (obviously the most important part). THIS IS NOT MODDED IN ANY WAY! This is vanilla.

Redpill me on the crusades

they captured Jerusalem and then under Guy de Lusignan completely fucking blew it in every single way and lost everything they gained.
>Muslims attack and conquer things from the early 8th century until the 11th century or so, largely due to Christians being divided and fighting among themselves.
>Pope doesn't like this at all and also wants to repair relations with the Orthodox Church which separated in 1054 and which he thought he begin to lure back by helping them out a bit.
>Muslims give him the pretext he needs to launch an invasion by messing with the rights of Christian pilgrims.
>Christians and Muslims fight for hundreds of years, Christians winning at times and Muslims at other, Muslims win.
>Muslims somehow believe this is what destroyed their Golden Age and not the Mongols/Timurids fucking everything up, and even then that didn't actually ruin them because the Turks and Iranians became incredibly powerful and advanced and arguably far better than Europe until around the late 17th century.
How historically accurate is this game?
I'm sorry. I know this isn't really /his/ territory, but the amount of shit that (we know) they've put in so far is baffling.
I'll give you a few run downs:
>Black Germans
>France is not a playable faction
>Fricking assault rifles. Automatic and the whole shebang.
Just... why...
It's a videogame not a textbook they can do whatever inane bullshit they want to pander to as much people possible to make as much money as possible. Anybody with their panties in a twist over Battlefield 1 being historically inaccurate has severe autism.
>>1293395
t. Never played a Battlefield game

So why aren't they pandering to the french?
Shoving literally the biggest player in WW1 into some shitty DLC later on is fucking shit, no matter how you cut it.
To clarify, I mean "collectivism" the way a radical libertarian uses the word. Insinuating that anything that involves any sort of centralized authority, community, or state is a collective tyranny to persecute the individual.
As many people have realized (such as Stefan Molyneux), opening your borders to all comers, far from being an economic boon, actually can have disastrous consequences for the quality of life, security, and prosperity of the people of a nation. This has been a great "redpill" moment in history for a lot of libertarians, who see their idealistic views failing miserably in real time.
So why shouldn't society be constructed around the individual? Are we not all individual entities with our own minds, our own conscience, our own personalities?
True, but if you take an individual out of his environment, he is the lesser. For example, take a salmon out of a stream in California, and dump him in the Hudson River. As he dodges floating sewage, ask yourself: is he the lesser? For one thing he'll have a hell of a time reproducing with no other salmon around. He'll have no more contact with any other fish like him. The water is different, the seasons are different, the other fish are different....nothing is like his home. Do you think a fish is capable of loneliness?
The truth is that we are not totally free floating, independent entities. We exist in the context of our environment. A person is most happy and most free when he can be among people that are like himself, members of his own tribe so to speak. Birds of a feather flock together.
Blacks like being around other blacks. Whites like being around other whites. Engineers like being around other engineers. Sophisticates like being around other sophisticates. We are all tribal, we all form clubs and groups and communities. For only then can we spread our wings and reach our true potential.
"The most precious possession you have in the world is your own people."

>if you take an individual out of his environment, he is lesser
>literal environmental determinist in the 21st century
>doesn't understand what globalization is and disputes it for some reason
>"do you think a fish is capable of loneliness?"
are you for real dawg
what the actual shit is that for a question. Are you a vegan by any chance, to assume that a fish has the cognitive ability to understand the emotional implications of loneliness, much less rationalize and recognize them? What's it going to do? Commit fish suicide because it's got fish depression?
"""""""""""""""intellectual""""""""" anything
The collective doesn't exist as anything but a shared fiction. Serve the collective only in so ar as doing so benefits you. Treating fictions as entities to be served ahead of yourself is stupid; you're also stupid.

I've always wondered about the muslim depiction of Paradise, Jannah. According to Muslim belief, everything one longs for in this world will be there in Paradise.
Paradise is somewhat different from the more mystic Christian depiction of Heaven, in that it is very sensual, there are detailed descriptions of the food, the drinks and the sexual gratification, with the houris that are everywhere.
What about muslims who are attracted to boys, but remain good muslims through their life? Will their houris be boys in Paradise? Is it ok there?
Fucking boys is literally okay on Islam. But if you fuck a man you're a fag and don't go to heaven
>>1294347

You got some citation for that or did you pull it out of your ass?

Hey guys
Can someone recommend me some
good WWII movies shot from the
German perspective?
There are so many great movies shot
from the allied point of view but there
are only so many I can think of with the
opposite which is really unfortunate.
>>1300009
Literally nothing. Movies about WW2 are astonishingly inaccurate and if they're not they still play through an ideologic lense. Read a fucking auto biography of German soldier if you want to see their perspective in the war.
>>1300009
>Accurate
It's not really accurate but check Stalingrad (The one from 1993) for a good movie at least.
Unsere Mutter Unsere Vater, a german made miniseries, a bit cheap but decent watch
Stalingrad (93 or thereabouts, not the new one), solid war movie
Das Boot, a classic but very slow and a bit artsy, one of the best war movies thogh
Cross of Iron, a decent watch but i did not particularly love it, okay for the 'small guy'perspective
What is the role of religion in modern life
If we get past the theist/atheist/agnostic dilemmas?
Do you think it would be correct to say that religious books are viable sources of criticism?
As i see it, the questions we ask today are the same ones our ancestors asked, only perhaps more nuanced and specific.
Every topic has been stretched and became detailed.
Religious writings, as wholesome all inclusive aggregates of primordial world views can be a source of criticism of modern and contemporary ideas and descisions.
Post modernism opened the road for people to view the past not as a lesser source of knowledge but as a general and more concentrated source of knowledge.
A religious that embraces all change and gives its oppinion on it.
A non dogmatic all embracing religious perspective.
A religious criticism of science.
A religious criticism of shovinism.
A religious criticism of corporations.
A religious criticism of globalization.
And so on and on and on.
Maybe we need an expansion of religious ideas and criticisms about all aspects of life..
Religious criticism that has absorbed all the changes and elaborations and advances in all other areas of life and is open, broadened and evolving..
No one has an oppinion on the matter?
>>1299552
The role of religion today is the same as it ever was. To control and manipulate gullable people.

Stargates are wormholes that can be accessed
either using a device or a natural grid opening.
A huge mysterious door-like structure was discovered in the Hayu Marca mountain region of Southern Peru. Hayu Marca, 35 kilometres from the city of Puno has long been revered by local indians as the "City of the Gods", and has never been fully explored because of the rugged mountain terrain.
Jose Luis Delgado Mamani stumbled across the structure while trekking through the surrounding foothills trying to familiarize himself with the area as his job is as a guide for mountaineering tourists. "When I saw the structure for the first time, I almost passed out. I have dreamed of such a construction repeatedly over the years. I have commented to my family many times about these dreams, and so when I finally gazed upon the doorway, it was like a revelation from God... How do you make order of such a strange occurrence?"
After discovering the door , Mamani contacted archeological authorities in Puno, La Paz and Lima, and within a short time the area was besieged with archeologists and Inca historians. It turned out that the native indians of the region had a legend that spoke of "A gateway to the lands of the gods", and in that legend it was said that in times long past, great heroes had gone to join their gods and passed through the gate for a glorious new life of immortality, and on rare occasions those men returned for a short time with their gods to "inspect all the lands in the kingdom" through the gate.
This relief in the British Museum shows the Sumerian God Ninurta in a Gateway (Stargate), using his index finger to push something on the wall. He wears two wrist devices. The emblem around his neck matches the design of the Knights Templar.

the stargate is where the crystal children originated from.they began began to make themselves known from about 1990-2010, although a few scouts came earlier. Their main purpose is to take us to the next level in our evolution and reveal to us our inner and higher power. They function as a group consciousness rather than as individuals, and they live by the “Law of One” or global oneness. They are also advocates for love and peace on this planet.
They are mostly born into the Gold Ray of Incarnation and Evolution, which means they have access to gifts of clairvoyance and healing. They are born on the sixth dimension of consciousness, with the potential to open up rapidly to the ninth dimensional level of full Christ consciousness, and then from there to the thirteenth dimension, which represents universal consciousness.
Crystal children’s auras aren’t specifically opalescent, but are octarine, which is a color that isn’t in the normal visual range of human eyes, but is the manifest color of high magic, and on another color octave entirely. They have beautiful pastel hues to them. To the untrained eye, it appears to be without color at all, therefore Crystal, but the extremely high frequency of the energy field is what gives it away.
The first thing you will recognize about Crystal children is their forgiving nature. They are very sensitive, warm, and caring. Don’t mistake these characteristics as a sign of weakness as Crystal children are also very powerful.
