From my own experience, I've never been depressed directly because of my belief. I've never had some existential crisis over whether or not I'm right, or whether or not there's a god. I don't feel "purposeless" without religion. I have a great life, I feel fulfilled...

It wouldn't change. But it would be the first time in history the same religion popped up independently of each other in two places (one of the many reasons I think religions are false, but certainly not the top reason)

Yes, Plotinus has one of the best arguments I have read on what the infinite might be, given that it is more abstract and easier defined than most other attempts I have read on it.
His works use less loaded or emotive language when doing so, IMO a problem later introduced by monotheists and Gnostics, attempting to explain either a benevolent or malevolent focal point for created existence (Valentinian Gnostics being the exception).
His views on materialism do need to be handled with care, he could be argued...
