What are some things that you do to learn faster?
I explain things real simply in my head so I can build up to an understanding rather than getting bogged down in things i can't understand. I also watch youtube videos at 1.5 speed and play powerful background music if it's too boring, so i can get hyped to learn it.

You're too fast mate, just relax.

Get some green tea, a smoke and just absorb it all, let it sink in. Take time man, you have a whole lifetime ahead of yourself
>>

Youtube?
Just buy da textbook, make flashcards, and find a kid with adhd meds on campus like the rest of us.

Also try timing all of your study sessions and never play music.

No worries Anon.

Na its fun and it works,
your mind is limitless, you can learn anything so i'm learning how to learn really fast
If i've got my whole life ahead of me imagine what I could do if I could learn complex ideas in months instead of years.
It's creative learning, rather than analytical

It rides on more than general-ship and Lee is vastly over-rated.

You people of the South don't know what you are doing. This country will be drenched in blood, and God only knows how it will end. It is all folly, madness, a crime against civilization! You people speak so lightly of war; you don't know what you're talking about. War is a terrible thing! You mistake, too, the people of the North. They are a peaceable people but an earnest people, and they will fight, too. They are not going to let this country be destroyed without a mighty effort to save it … Besides, where are your men and appliances of war to contend against them? The North can make a steam engine, locomotive, or railway car; hardly a yard of cloth or pair of shoes can you make. You are rushing into war with one of the most powerful, ingeniously mechanical, and determined people on Earth — right at your doors. You are bound to fail. Only in your spirit and determination are you prepared for war. In all else you are totally unprepared, with a bad cause to start with. At first you will make headway, but as your limited resources begin to fail, shut out from the markets of Europe as you will be, your cause will begin to wane. If your people will but stop and think, they must see in the end that you will surely fail.

William Tecumseh Sherman's Comments to Prof. David F. Boyd at the Louisiana State Seminary (24 December 1860), as quoted in The Civil War : A Book of Quotations (2004) by Robert Blaisdell. Also quoted in The Civil War: A Narrative (1986) by

I'm reading Spengler. What does it mean when he says " The Anglo is a Viking mentally, but the German is a Crusading knight"?

Spengler was a reductionist retard who thought he can explain all of history by a handful of memes.
>>
>>501700
History literally is memes.
>>
>>501694
The anglo is a sea faring cunt, so he just colonizes and pillages whatever he can. The person of Heartland is fatalistic, just like the story of Ragnarock, where all the norse gods died. He would destroy his enemy to the final piece if he could, but he can't.

>Sumerian
Developed concurrently with Semites
>Hattic
Pre-IE peoples who inhabited the area, probably developed concurrently with Semites
>Tyrsenian languages
See above, possibly concurrent development with early IE languages but probably older in origin
>pre-IE languages in Europe
See above
>Cretan hieroglyphs
See above, also pertains to Linear A and possibly Eteocretan

What's even there to discuss? The origin of every language is that it developed somewhere else than some other language and so is different, and then people moved around.

What if I was your dad and you didn't have such shitty genes?

Did priestly celibacy have a a social evolutionary effect?
That is, by taking out of the gene pool more timid and peaceful characteristics in the population, ancient and medieval west European society increased their ferocity and militarism?

>priests are inherently peaceful
>only western priests and monks were celibate

So no. But I have wondered what the true reasons behind celibacy are. I assume it has something to due with a lack of worldly desires bringing you closer to your religious goals. But I'm not exactly an expect on the subject.
>>
>>501560
>>501570
Celibacy was to stop inheritance of priestdoms.

It resulted in an army of bastards.

Who inherited priestdoms.

There weren't enough priests for that to have any impact.

I think he means in the Korean War

Do you think that God was invented as a way of explaining the subconscious and the subconscious actions of everyone around them?

Literally God is in your head.

If ideology really is a subconscious fantasy that structures reality, (which you can see evidence for), does that mean that the ideology of god has became a real force in the world but only if you believe in it?

Do you think that because christians worship god as a person, we have ended up worshiping celebrity's?

if you truly believe that you are your own god, will reality subjugate to fit in with your ideological fantasy?

>>
>if you truly believe that you are your own god, will reality subjugate to fit in with your ideological fantasy?
Yes, this is true with any narrative you want to believe. If I chose to explain the world by believing a monkey dropped a "good day pill" or a "bad day pill" in my mouth every day before I woke my reality will shift to appropriate this world view if I want to believe it enough.

no

here is the bombshell: reflexivity permits us to see that the belief in rationality, induction/generalization/categorization, imagination, intellect, reason does not lead us to the good life.

animals are the most rational beings, but they lack reflexivity since they fail to see that the faith in abstraction to reach knowledge/truth/objectivity/reality/universality is sterile since it brings only conventions which are, by definition, always fluctuating through, at least, time and space... rationality brings is a deception and a disappointment.

the point of reflexivity is to notice the failure of rationalism, to embrace empiricism that is to say, to stop fantasizing about a collective reality, but rather to stick to personal phenomena in analyzing them.
the point of reflexivity is to make us wonder what do we want.

Do you want to create norms, conventions in order to claim that you create norms and that these norms are truths that you try to impose on others, until some people will come to you and claim that their conventions are the truths and yours are lies ?
>>
>>501438

no one would believe in a monkey putting pills in their mouth

>>501425
God isn't in your head, he's outside of our primitive 3 dimensions and created the universe
