What did the crusaders think of the Muslims?
Did they have specific opinions about Arabs, Persians and the Turks?
What are some good materials to read in this era about the interaction of Christians and Muslims?

Also post any interesting or funny quotes you have.

Someone on /int/ told me to post this on /his/. My grandfather died. When I cleared out his apartment, I found a trunk of old newspapers he saved. I took pictures of all of them. Here is what a man born in 1916 thought were important historical moments.

Is there any language that just comes naturally and is easiest for humans to learn?

I was thinking since what language we use, is mostly dominated by how widespread and how long it has been in use.

Surely we can agree that some languages are easier to learn than others but it doesn't matter so much as the language you learn as you grow is going to be an easier process than trying to learn one later on in your life.

I've studied them quite a bit recently!!

From what I understand, the Hyksos were Palestinian and Syrian refugees / entrepreneurs who immigrated to southern Palestine and the Nile Delta region c. 1750 - 1700 B.C.

They slowly began establishing power (economically first, since they were all over the Nile's outlet, but slowly politically since they are related) in Egypt to the point where, along with Ethiopian assistance in the south, they were able to push 'pure-blood' Egyptian rule out of Egypt.

They integrated into Egyptian culture for the most part and were Egyptian to everyone except the real Egyptians, who started to get pissed once they were cut out of the economy.

After ruling for around 200 years and even establishing their own Dynasty, the majority of 'Hyksos' (Palestinian / Syrian immigrants) were expunged from the land by Ahmose I, whose father and brother had both dedicated their lives to the effort.

They fled to Palestine.

Hatchepsut also had her own expulsion of Hyksos and slaves later in history

Why did he stopped after conquering Poland? He could've conquered France, Spain, Germany and Italy, prevent Renaissance to happen as well as shiity, petty wars of Europe in general. Also did Mongols ever fought the Byzantines?

Genghis never conquered Poland because he was dead long before first invasion took place. And that's also why Mongols didn't go further west - no comparable leader to fill his shoes resulted in a gradual fragmentation of the empire and loss of power.

Yup.
There were also better targets for the Mongols to spend most of their resources.
Europe was not as rich as Persia, Egypt or China.
That's why the Mongols would send 50,000 men to Europe while they had 500,000 against one of the Chinese Kingdoms.
>>
Mongol tactics worked on steppe
Europe is not Steppe. They'd have never made it past Eastern Europe even with Genghis.

This is also why they couldn't get into India

>I write this letter, the last letter, which will be left after me in Saint Petersburg. I have a premonition that I will die before 1 January (1917). I speak to the Russian People, to Papa [he referred to Nikholai II as Papa and Aleksandra as Mama], to Mama and Children, to all of the Russian Land, what they should know and understand. If I will be killed by ordinary people, especially by my brothers—the Russian peasants, then you, the Russian Tsar, should not worry about Your Children, —they will lead in Russia another hundred years.
What the hell was up with this guy. I am not a expert on this period of history can someone enlighten me on this mysterious figure. Was he really super natural and what was up with his death. Why couldn't he die

Rasputin was the cause of the Russian Revolution.

He was having sex with all Russian women and this made the men mad. When they complained about the oppression of the elite, they were actually talking about Raputin's penis. Most of the Soviet leaders read Das Kapital while locked in their cucksheds.
