Some say that he was a military genius and other say that Germany lost the World War because of his retarded military decisions. What is the truth? How good was Hitler as the military leader? I don't ask about his political moves and ideology. I want to know how good or maybe bad he was at being in charge of arguably the best army in The World.
From what I heard was during the start of the world war he was a grand military strategist who commanded from a bunker close to the French line.
However, after blitzing France at the rate that he did, even he was highly surprised and came to the conclusion that the German army was basicly invincible and didn't need his help. Most of the time during the battle of Britain and early operation Barbarossa he spent in his vacation villa in the alps.
Propbably due to multiple losses he started losing his sanity, and when he took command of the armies back around...

Reminder that all of the major decisions of World War 2 were fully supported by Germany's generals and high command, including invading Russia, and including diverting the central armies to the Caucuses
Hitler had little actual influence in the course of the war once it actually got started
They reused WWI plans early on, once they ran out of Schlieffenpower they got turdstomped

Beethoven
Mo just followed the trend of Music of the day.
Beethoven ushered in the Romantic period.
>Mozart
>around 2 confirmed shitposts

All his symphonies bellow the number 35 are average at best.
>Beethoven
All masterworks, except maybe the first.
I say Beethoven is the best, though I prefer Mozart.
How long would the New Order (a peaceful Europe post-war following an Axis victory) had reasonably lasted before revolts and rebellions would overpower the German, Italian etc overlords?
Remember that Mussolini wanted to re-establish the Roman Empire and also control all of the Mediterranean. Also remember that France was to be restored under the government that Vichy France had. So Hitler would have constant uprising issues in the Reichskommissariats while Mussolini would have them across the Med.

>Axis Victory
Is that even possible?
>>1310802
There have been constant debates about this. Let's not fall into another one.
1000 years, maybe more.
All of Europe would look like Western Europe during the Cold War minus the red threat.
A quiet, peacefull and prosperous place, free of leftist ideological cancer.
Is transhumanism a serious philosophical question, or is it just a circle-jerking for scifi-fags?
Both.
Bit of both, though almost every transhumanist I've met have given me autism vibes

Why do fedoras love that picture so much?
>wow so intense
>wow that eyes wow so intense
>such emotional picture
>>1310625
Because it is intense. The eyes are intense. It's emotional.
I've noticed fedoras often dislike or take no interests in the arts. Typically they seem to think they're too smart for it and have, in their mind, figured out it's a sham. "It's just slabbed on color lol", "noone actually likes classical music it's just elitist circlejerking".
Non-fiction, such as history books, are preferred over fiction and "there's no point of philosophy when there's science".
Is low disregard for the arts a sign of lacking intellectualism? Is it not a patrician thing to be cultured...

>all those strawmen
You are the one who sounds like an elitist
Because in our version of a global capitalistic society (from a western viewpoint) productiveness is the highest virtue. The economy has to grow for our standard of life to be kept high, as we cannot allow the economies of poorer countries to catch up. So we produce more and more. Work harder and harder. And there simply isn't much of a niche left for art that is not easily and quickly consumed, that cannot be capitalized upon.

what's the most realistic explanation of Poland's downfall from one of the biggest and richest countries of the 17th century to a bunch of provinces?

that's just a single factor, there must be more

>Poland's downfall from one of the biggest and richest countries of the 17th century
It had like 3 or 4 million inhabitants and was actually quite poor compared to the rest of Europe. If anything it's a miracle their state didn't end earlier.
>>1310561
Surrounded by more powerful entities, not as rich as an entity its size needed to be, silly governmental structure
Free will is a scam. You control yourself through pre-determined paths. We think, therefor we are, yet we are what we think.
Every soul shares the same spirit, we ar all one. When placed in another's experience verbatim, we become them. True self is the realization that individuality is a farce, not in what you experience but why.
We are all one, divided by ego and sensation. So why suppose a better way, when there is only one path?

Why is deism not a popular religious belief these days?
>>1310546
To be fair, the old ways of Relgion aren't that popular in the West tbqph.
They've either been reformed, reinterpreted, or discarded.
Because deism doesn't offer anything at all which is the main drive for religion. It doesn't promise rewards or threaten with punishments.
God just did his thing and doesn't give a damn about anything in the universe. People want to think they're important enough for God to care at least a little.
Deism was mostly just a placeholder for people who didn't believe in personal deity, but couldn't find a satisfactory explanation of the world's origin or working, thus they still had to appeal to supernatural in one way or another.
The more our knowledge progressed, the more redundant explanation god became for these sorts of people, thus they mostly eventually abandoned it altogether and moved to naturalistic atheism.
I'd like to discuss the historical accuracy of the the new GoT episode, Battle of the Bastards.
Now it's not perfect, but there were many elements I found very intriguing, moreso in that they decided to include certain aspects of medieval warfare in the episode. First one that just really stood out was Jon Snow being buried by dead bodies and trampled on in the chaos of his army being surrounded. As we are probably aware, medieval battle was hardly an organized or clean affair and that particular part of the scene really showed the suffocation, dread, and helplessness...

Nice contribution. I know it's a fantasy show, dumbass, but to suggest the scene wasn't based on a real historical era is asinine. I want to discuss the elements of history they chose to incorporate and the efficacy of it. As it pertains to medieval warfare.

What is asinine is you, apparently.

The efficacy of what in relation to what?

Especially if exposed to negative stimuli from a young age your >self becomes much less prone to mental damage in the future,so I'm guessing scars could be just a friendly reminder from your brain to avoid and prepare yourself to face off with said negative stimuli .
Negative experiences force you to either mature or become fully numb.
>>1310255
I feel like most people become enticed to loosen their morals when they see what the average person can get away with in the name of self gratification and exploitation of others.
But I also think there's enough conviction in the world to keep us from becoming total animals.
Regardless, interesting question anon.
If you were elected as the Pope, what would your name be and why?
I would choose Leo, and therefore become Leo XIV. Mostly because I'm a huge admirer of the story/myth of how Pope Leo I the Great got rid of Attila and saved Rome for some years. I would also be tempted to use old names like Urban, Celestine ore Sixtus though.
What name would you choose?
>>1310194
Pope Sixtus VI
The reason should be obvious
Pope Backand IV
>>1310194
Pope Phallus LXIX
