The first wave of Muslim fundamentalism occurred in the aftermath of the Mongol holocaust which pretty much wiped out Islamic civilization at it's height.
The current (Wahhabi) wave of Muslim fundamentalism began in the 18th century with the ministry of the fiery preacher Muhammad abd al Wahhab.
Was there an equivalent traumatic experience that caused this second wave to take hold?

An Indian nation still doesn't exist, just an Indian state. India is a huge landmass full of completely different peoples, cultures and languagues that were forced together for the sake of (mostly) convinience.
Modern India is like if all of the countries of Europe were united into a big United States of Europe. It just wouldn't work at all, and it doesn't work for India.

How come Black slaves never attempted a revolution in america especially during the civilwar?

It was always beat down before reachimg any far though.
Some did but most black slaves instead fled northwards or towards incoming Union armies. Or, in the case of one former slave, hijack a Confederate transport ship and flee to the Union blockade with his friends and family. I mean think about it. Let's assume all the slaves at a Georgia plantation killed Whitey McSlavedriver and took over their plantation and the surrounding land. They're effectively surrounded by a wholly unsympathetic population and news would probably spread fast prompting local militia (with lots of guns) to respond.
I expect most of them had no idea a civil war was going on, let alone what it was about. Why would their masters tell them?

Because for some reason the people at the top decided that soldiers being allowed to rob and rape and take wives as spoils of war was no longer a good thing so they tricked them into accepting cheap trinkets instead.

Considering her works are the basis of modern feminist theory, i'd be interested in hearing if you think her ideas are actually valid in a philosophical sense or if she was just a hack.

Im no fan of hers, but she did contribute some philosophical ideas, regardless of whether you think they are valid or not.
What about her idea of females as "the other sex", in that rather than the female sex having it'd own independent identity, it is instead merely the "other sex" in regards to males, being give it's definition by it differences to the male sex, rather than of the sex independently?
Do you think this idea has any validity? I'm eager to start an actual discussion here
