Is god dead?
The bible clearly says god died on the cross, and at Church we are reminded of that because they put up statues of god dying on a cross, and we worship the holy ghost. But if god died, how did he go back in time to become his own father and create the universe? And if he went back in time, even if he is omnipotent, isn't that a time paradox? Where did god come from in the time line to begin with? It makes no sense.
>the true spiritual hierarchy called "awliya er-Rahman (God)
>opposite to awilya esh-Shaytan (Satan)
Little word play for you guys:
>Rahman is another name for Allah
>Rama is another name for Krsna
Rahman - Rama
Also "Brahman" (impersonal, creating) as another aspect of God in Hinduism. The other two are Paramatman (Great Spirit) and Bhagavan (Personality)

And then risen from the dead and promised to lead an army to destroy evil during the end times and lift is elect to heaven, but don't let that little detail get in the way of your shitposting.

> risen from the dead
You can't come back as a ghost AND a zombie. That's just stupid. Pick one, holy ghost or zombie Jesus.
Why are there so few female philosophers, if any? I can't think of a single one.

Rand, de Beauvoir, Arendt, Butler and Foot come to mind.
How accurate are the historical events depicted in the Assassin's Creed series /his/?
>>337153
My little brother knew more about a lot of real real life pirates than me because he played Black Flag. That's about all I can say on the matter.
>are these names correct
>yes
That's about it.
Places/people/big events did indeed happen.

Basically this. Read the fluff, disregard all the characters and plotlines. It's actually pretty good as edutainment if you do it like this.
What's /his/ stance on Serbia?
Someone post the pasta

Mini-Russia that managed to piss off its every single neighbor.
Also Serbs look like gypsy fucks.
The ethnic cleansing guys
When will the myths surrounding the middle ages die off?
People always seem to assume everybody was bathing in their own shit, as well as that the church prosecuted scientists for shits and giggles.
Technology also developed throughout the middle ages, in contrast with common belief.
>>336673
it will continue so long as people keep perpetuating the myths. the only way to exterminate it is to educate people. so just keep educating people on /his/ senpai. The problem, however, is that by extinguishing the myth, you risk people jumping to the opposite conclusion, that the middle ages was an era of progress and enlightenment a la John Green. So at the end of the day, as long as the public doesn't read, which it never will, it's going to trade one myth for another.

The breakup of the Roman state into petty feudal kingdoms ment europe would survive; but with no taxation to support the sciences and education,no unwashed barbarian tribe was going to create the steam engine

Look at this board. Most people aren't greatly interested in history and people like to appear knowledgeable, so they parrot misconceptions dressed up as fact.
Which is more important: the individual or the collective?
>>336523
In an ethnically homogeneous community, the collective is valued more than the individual.
In an ethnically/racially diverse community, the individual is worshiped while the collective is ignored.
The individual is the heart and the collective is the lungs
There is no such thing as the individual. People do not live in a vacuum.
What kinds of dogs did ancient people have? and what did they do with them?
They did naughty things with them.

Just been reading up on the Kaaba in Mecca. I'm a little confused- it was a site for polytheistic pagan idols and rituals, and yet it's simultaneously the holiest site in Islam? That'd be like making the Pantheon in Rome the holiest site in Christianity, surely. I don't get it.
Not even a bait thread.
>>336147
It's not difficult
>Abraham builds the first shrine to God
>eventually Pagans take over
>turn it into a shrine for their Idols
>Muhammad clears it out and turns it back into the main shrine for God
Try reading the Quran instead of interpretations, it's the original source on the theology.

I can't speak about that directly but often times customs and places of older religions get folded into newer religions to convert populaces.
It's easier to hang up an under new management sign outside then it is to go the conquest route. Or just explain that what the locals were worshipping was merely the same religion only looked at without certain understanding and its all actually the same thing.
Happened a lot.
>>336158
Ah, thanks, that makes it a lot clearer. Still, it's interesting that they didn't consider it permanently tainted (but I'm not really clear on if Islam can ever consider something to be 'corrupted').
Can we at least agree that Rhodesia was the best country that's existed in Africa in the last 2000 years?
If Biafra would have survived it would probably beat Rhodesia. But thanks to the Eternal Anglo suporting Nigeria that didn't happen.
>>336012
Apartheid South Africa was significantly better, and would've been much more sustainable, had the sanctions not been put in place. Botswana's getting up there, and if we count North Africa, Gaddafi-era Libya was even better.
>What is glorious Biafra?
Do you follow any religions at all, /his/?
>>335907
I am an enlightened atheist who has outgrown such silly superstitions.
None at all.
If H,FY! was a religion I would follow it though.
Is this worth reading?
Yes.
Next question.

I still dont know why Inequality is a bad thing exactly. He really goes on and on, on how inequality happens, but not on why it matters.

Because more inequality leads to less social stability
did this guy rip off from the gnostics?
>>335754
did the gnostics rip off from him?
>>335756
The Gnostics were from Antiquity
>>335762
then how did hegel approximate his views to theirs?
same with schopenhauer, though schopenhauer was influenced by eastern religions which influenced gnosticism in antiquity, so that sort of explains itself
If we accept that most of the world's cultures were male-dominated in the past, and we accept that most of the world's cultures are moving toward gender equality today, why did cultures become male-dominated in the first place?
>>335425
Because men have always been the dominant gender and thus, culture is reflected on that fact.
>>335429
Oops, I meant to say physically dominant.
>>335425
Woman gets pregnant.
Woman gives birth.
Woman takes care of kid.
Man makes sure these things happen unimpeded.
Man gets a place of power.
This is simple.
