Sure, we've done the 4 years of whatever language in the American educational system bullshit, but Im looking for a REAL reason to learn a language, despite the chances of me ever going to that country being close to none.
It sounds fun, but why do it?
You know it's an american when he doubts the virtues of learning a different language.
That's why it's hard. When I've gone to central America for extended periods a lot of Spanish comes back to me and I improve a lot. Once I go home it atrophies quickly. I don't have the mind for language though.
So my answer is it is very hard to stay in practice and stay motivated for me. Yu may be better

Fairly sure that due to gender roles women simply couldn't do what men could do like I thought of Niccolo Machiavelli and ive got nothing. I guess if a woman achieved a diplomatic/military role in Medici Florence she must be doing something right, so maybe she'd be more successful than the real Niccolo?

What exactly is wrong with communism?
Communism relies on fervor among the people to keep going and to not fall back on selfish desires. In order to keep the fervor going the government relies on means of thought control, like censorship and starving out dissenters. Communism cannot tolerate dissent and is therefore rarely if ever pluralistic.
