They called themselves roman sure but they didn't speak latin, didn't have an emporer and didn't worship the pagan gods. Hell even the architecture was different. So, roman or their own thing?
They were never Roman.
To be Roman you have to be from Rome. Venice was more Roman than the Byzantines ever were, because they were founded by actual refugees from the City of Rome.
PAX VAN TIBI GELI MAR STA CE E MEVS
What can you tell me about their battle tactics? How good were they at warfare?
Tell me about the 7 year war /his/. Why was France on the losing end of another war?
Outnumbered like 50 to 1 in North America
Facing Frederick the Great in Europe
*Funny note: Austria was ruled by an Empress at the time and so was Russia, France was partly ruled by a women too so Frederick called their alliance against him 'The league of the three petticoats'
Is this the appropriate board to talk about theater? None of the other boards seemed to fit the bill.
I'm an
aspiring
actor who has worked for a couple years. Going back to school in the fall for my MFA. How fucked am I bros?
It's probably better to just move to New York and work for a theater company or move to LA and work in TV shows or movies if you want to be a professional actor. Studying drama at university is better if you want to be a professor.
I have interned at a theater company in NY, as well as moved to LA briefly where I was an extra for a few well known shows. The sheer number of people who want to be an actor is terrifying, so I figured that any leg up I could get would be beneficial. Plus, I can always teach if/when I don't "make it".
Freezing cold, constant snowstorms, miserable, deplorable supply lines and mobility because of snow., hypothermia.
Wet as fuck, raining all the time, constantly need to protect against water born disease, terribad supply lines and mobility because of mud.
Is there any good time to begin an eastward land invasion of Russia?
They have paved roads now.
What are you looking at? Oh that dead whore on the ground.. Yeah..
She didn't give me a good time. So I gave her a bad time.
Anyways m8, you best not call the bobbies on me or you're next.
Not that I wouldn't enjoy playing with your bodyparts for a few hours but I am rather tired fucking around with this corpse all day.
Just read "On The Concept of History" by Walter Benjamin. Tell me, /his/, why the fuck does these critical theory faggots need to be so cryptic while at the same time writing shit like Sturm and Drang novels?
What is the name of the philosopher in tattoo below
What do you think of Ken Ham and his organisation's interpretations of the bible?
ITT: Historical figures who were more than likely the spawn of Satan
>Apparently able to cure hemophilia
>Used talent to get close to Russian royal family
>Started to advise and coerce the Czarina on matters of state
>Gained even more influence
>Eventually, the entire royal family becomes so concerned that they try giving him a private feast of poisoned food

anyone know anything about the Sellersville radium plants from the early 1900's? otherwise known as the Radium Company of America? Sellersville is in southeast Pennsylvania. Trying to learn more about it. It's supposedly a big cover-up in this tiny town near me. Couldn't think of where else to post this.
All I know is that Radium was the Titanium of its time. Everybody put it on their brand, even if it didn't contain radium

Also, I could barely find anything about it on the internet. Apparently it was a site for mining uranium, and some of said uranium slipped into a a lake around here that turned the water a bright orange during the early 1900's. That's about as much as I was able to find out.
Do you think that it makes us more anti social or is that just a meme?
Is it possible that it's screwing us up worse than we think or will we just evolve into it?
Well since communications is so close between people and that means the migration of different cultures clash constantly. Look at muslim traditions vs western influences. You cant revolutionize without being influenced by europeans
Virginia during the Civil War. They were a confederate state, and yet they housed the president, and where the one to raise taxes against the southern states?
I'm confused. Can anyone describe Civil War history in detail?
Is historical reenactment an actual employment option?
How would one get involved?
The government of Japanese provinice Iga-Ueno, the Meme Home of Japanese Ninja Clans, recently put out an ad for full time ninja reenactors.
I guess you'd want to get affiliated with a museum or historical society of some kind. I doubt there'd be much prospects for full time work, unless you're basically a living exhibit in a museum, waving an axe and scaring groups of schoolkids.
There are some quite large organisations that handle reenactments though. The Sealed Knot probably has a few full time staff for example:
Interesting, but not really accessible to most yuropoors.
Is it a viable employment option, anyway? I heard people who do living history are often volunteers and hobbyists.
/his/ do you find it sad that no one will ever know everything that humanity knows? doesn't it feels that no intelligence will ever be truly "complete"?
