>began in 1999
Phew! Just in time for the retro cutoff so it can now be considered a "classic". Imagine the shitposting that would occur if this was just a few years later. Could it have reached possibly SEED and G-Reco levels?
>>14178338
people still hate it for being boring, when it was made doesn't change that fact. I think they're crazy but what do i know
>>14178338
This is not /a/. The "classic" cut off was in 1989.
>>14178351
Nah, classic /m/ is pre-1987
Blu-Ray when?
>>14178101
Never.
>>14178398
Seems to be a running theme with anything Nagano related.
>>14178405
So how postal would the anime/mecha world be if Nagano released Gothicmade for home release?
Opinions on this robo-cunny?
>>14177770
I'd let her beat me.
>>14177770
>bobcut
Ya got me.
On that note FUCK DC's execs.
The only good thing from the show
Besides Amuro, has the main character of a Gundam series ever died?
>>14177524
Haven't actually seen Age. Seems like a cool guy, from what I'm reading.
>>14177524
That doesn't count. He presumably died of old age after the ending.
When that Frozen Teardrop anime happening?
>>14177510
>wanting someone to actually animate that load of garbage
>>14177518
>not wanting to watch kids have a picnic during a war zone
>>14177510
Eventually.
>>14177518
Wing was always a load of garbage so that's not a problem if they want to bring that brand back.
MUH DICK
>Grunt version clearly has a VF-14 inspired head
>But we still don't have any VF-14 toys, and are not likely to get them any time soon
Why is an SR-71 based Valkyrie of all things the one to be left in the dark like this?!
>>14177384
It's also like this suave motherfucker
I still can't believe Kawamori found a new place to stash the arm assembly.
>Be in 7th grade and GW fanboy
>I know nothing of UC or anything Gundam beyond Wing

I wish it were used in future titles
>modern Battle Assault/Battle Master with HD sprites never
My younger brother would spam The-Os strong punch where it swings its beam rifle downward. This caused many a jimmy to be rustled.
Are there any other mecha series with fleshed out, life-like characters?
Almost every other series follows the typical Sunrise procedure: a cast of retarded protagonists that develop into complete autists.
The only other one I can think of is MJP, and even that comes very close to being just like any other when it comes to characters.
>>14177098
Patlabor was really a cop show with some mecha on the side. Which actually made it awesome, but when people make a mecha anime they're targeting the mecha audience.
I think escaflowne was comparable but still inferior in terms of character development.
>>14177098
>I think escaflowne was comparable
"Hitomi, you are a plain school girl from another world and you do not have any beneficial skill, in fact you're the cause of most conflicts over the course of this anime BUT I still love you very much"
wtf.
Do you count tokusatsu?
Does this camo look okay?
Also, METAL GEAR?! Thread, I guess
>>14177041
Why did you post an image of the ground?
nice pavement OP
this is /m/ not /stone/
Anyone know a good place to read the 0079 manga online? found one issue of it when i was younger and reallly liked its use of MSV stuff and redesigns of the Bigro and Zakrello and havent seen any of it since.
>>14176931
yeah these were good
did they even finish them?
>>14176931
>>14176935
i've been collecting them at old comic shops, half price books, and amazon, where they seem cheapest. evidently the last volume or two were never translated.
over on desu somebody posted this in Ghost Mode
>Long story short: Yes in Japan, no in the US. As for scans online: good luck. Please post if you find them. I've been looking for several years.
>
>As for the enjoyment factor, yeah, I loved them too. My first Gundam was First Gundam and I really thought that Kondo did a great job of making the mechs look more "real" in this story (though they look quite strange in some of his other works like Revival of Zeon).Comment too long. I've never watched any gundam series other than SEED/DESTINY.
I'd like to watch more. Which would you guys recommend? Should I start with the first?
Skip gundam and just go to getter robo and gunbuster.
>>14176139
AGE
It would be right up your alley
>>14176159
>right up your alley
based on what? I watched SEED because it was onYTVwhen I was super into anime.
I'm a big fan of sentai/power rangers.
GL homage?
Trigger confirmed for bros.
>>14176091
You see GL, all I see is Inferno Cop.
>>14176091
It's almost like they made Gurren Lagann or something.
>GL fags still obnoxious bell ends after 9 years
Never thought the Apsalus was running on BSD with directx and an amd/RISC processor.
>OZC
the AMD-K6 was the top of the line amd card at the time 08th MS Team was made
>>14175608
I guess we should forgive him since he's probably only like 14 or something, being this new.
So, i'm sure this gets asked a lot, but are there any anime(aside from Battletech: The Animated Series) where the mecha are closer in design and capabilities to Battletech/Mechwarrior mecha? As opposed to the Gundam/Eva style high mobility human proxies that we seem to see in every genre of mech anime.
I've looked a lot and can't seem to find anything really, although perhaps i'm just blind.
>>14175394
Try Dougram
If it gets asked a lot then why not check the archives?
Dougram and the supporting mechs in Xabungle.
does anyone still play cosmic break? I've been wanting to get into it but people say it has issues.
>>14175300
I thought it shut down in favor of its sequel
>>14175304
no CB2 and CB1 are still online together.
Not at much as I used to. But occasionally.
