A month or so ago, I made a topic seeing if anyone had scans of the artwork from the Japanese release of Dune, drawn by Ishinimori. No one had any, but I was searching recently and managed to find three pages from it from someones blog. I thought I would share my findings. Please feel free to post other artwork based on other sci fi properties, preferably literature.
This first one is when the Atredis first get to Arrakis and Jessica is unpacking and she meets the one Freman attendant for her. She pulls the knife on Jessica who uses her Bene Gesserit abilities to show that she is one that they are looking for.
This one is... I'm not quite sure. I want to think the small child is Alia, because her mom is huge compared to her, but it also may be the beginning of the book when Paul is tested by the Reverend Mother (in the background) with that pain box. Any other guesses?
And last one is after Paul and Jessica escape the Harkonnen assault and Paul find his family's ring in the supply bag.
I'm going to keep searching for more, but it was hard enough finding these scans. My Japanese isn't that good, but I might try and see if I can fish anything from 2chan. At this point, though, I might just have to buy the books and scan them myself.
I'm going to post some high resolution images of the covers I found. Much better than you can find on the English sites.

Does anyone ever have /m/ dreams? I just remembered one I had a little while ago; it was one of those weird meta dreams where I was playing a video game that slowly melded "reality". The main character was a guy who was constantly falling into different dimensions, which were each essentially a (fake) /m/ series. There was one where he was a standard ace war hero, one where he was a child soldier on the losing side, one where he was on the winning (but morally wrong) side, one where he was a prisoner pressed into service during a protracted stalemate, and one in modern times where he pilots a mud golem to fight aliens. There were more; super robot shit too. And ultimately he was trying to figure out the source of the dimensional hops and the strife in each universe.
Anyway, I don't have good dreams often, so this was a welcome surprise. Anyone else?

Thanks to stress and anxiety most of the dreams that I can remember are nightmares. If I have have an /m/ dream it's usually about being inside a spaceship as its being destroyed or crashing.

So /m/, I personally don't believe Zeon Zum Deikun was assassinated. I feel like he has a massive heart attack due to bad health. He was older and under a lot of stress and had bad sleeping habits.
Degwin Zabi may or may not have been "appointed his successor" officially, but I think Degwin was legitimately trying to continue the ideals of Zeon Zum Deikun. In my opinion, Ghiren is to blame for pretty much all the "evil Zeon" stuff that happens pre/during the OYW. Degwin has been shown to want peace talks at the end of the war (MSG 0079), and even has to pull back the reigns on Ghiren when he [Ghiren] wants to start the war during the Zeon rebellions on Side 3 (ORIGIN OVA 3).
So all-in-all I would say Ghiren is a master at media manipulation and politcs, whilst his father is content being a powerful figurehead for the ideals of Zeon independence.
Degwin isn't a bad guy, just a few of his kids are (Sasro, Ghiren, Kycillia <--- assholes . . . Dozel, Garma <---- good guys)

I personally like Degwin as the guy who did kill Deikun out of ambition despite being his friend and later came to regret it, because he saw the effect it had on his kids and society. I think it's a more interesting route that he changed over time, but did instigate the situation.

If you take Origin's interpretation that Deikun was off his rocker and about to declare war on the Earth Sphere, you could even say that he eliminated Deikun in order to save Side 3 from being crushed by the Federation.

I'm finally entering the world of HD tvs. Are there any that can handle [EG] or other high-end encodes via built-in players?
I'm sure I'll hook up some computer to it eventually, but if it can just read stuff off a usb drive that would be cool.

Just found out about this, it's a short 15-minute OVA from the 80s with pretty sweet mecha animation. Too bad about the recording quality.
Is anyone else aware of this thing's existence? I know it's a Zoids spinoff with some recent kits from Kotobukiya, but I'm surprised an anime was ever even made.
