As I saw it there was too much time dicking around with summer vacation fluff, which would have been fine if not for the grimmer tone of what happened to our previous heroes. So you really need to cut the vacation stuff a lot shorter....

It's pretty cool. The Azure Dragon and the White Tiger together, pretty neat. Its combination sequence from Alpha 1 was pretty interesting too. Really weird legs though, and it bugs me how the games have taken a lot of its attacks away (Where's Dragon Knuckle? The Scale Missiles?). 9/10.

The mech bosses were always the most ridiculous ones in every Ray game. The one in Raystorm is particularly bad, and it doesn't even have a melee attack!

I honestly don't think it's too bad.
I mean, I know about some of the complaints. The characters aren't well-liked, there's not enough mecha action and what we did get was poorly animated at times. Still, I liked the show a lot despite its flaws.
It doesn't have the most interesting characters, but over time, I came to like some of them. By the end, I felt like Tekkadan was really family. The show also got me to feel that the bad guys weren't all demons, and I got to feel for some of Gjallahorn's forces, too.
