Don't watch Shin Mazinger because you're not going to get much fights. It's mostly a family drama. Go watch Mazinkaiser, Mazinkaiser vs the Great General of Darkness and Mazinkaiser SKL if you want over the top fights.

It's true, and you can't prove otherwise. The fights are about as over the top as the OVAs anyway.
So the Queen Emeraldas manga is getting an official release by Kodansha. ...Could we finally start to see some appreciation for his manga in the west?!
The only prior official release Leiji has had in the US is from when VIZ decided to release a few volumes of the GE999 sequel manga before dropping it.
Kodansha also holds the rights to V2 Panzer and MIRAIZER BAN which AnimeKritic wrote about a few years ago.

I was about to request some Leiji manga yesterday in the Vertical submission form but found out they don't want anything from before 2006 which is unfortunate since I there are a lot of great older manga I want to see brought to the west, nice to see Kodansha getting some Leiji Matsumoto. I wonder if we'll see other works like The Cockpit which I'd love to own and also Galaxy Express 999, but I heard that has some issues with previously being translated and they stopped around volume 10 if I remember correctly.

Yeah, like I said, VIZ picked it up over a decade ago and started after the original lapse. Picking up where the Eternal Fantasy movie takes place. I own all the translated volumes too.

That manga was already fan translated and it was a huge letdown. The stories are bland and uninspired the art feels lazy and seriously lacking. I'm not buying it, despite liking some of the anime adaptations. It doesn't live up to the hype. I hope Kodansha could get the license for stuff better than this.

Except the TV episodes have better animation. Anytime they do a scene transition, they have to redraw it. The redraws so far put the OVA Blu Ray to shame
So I heard that Gundam Breaker 3 is coming out on April 28th and that it has a localized English giddup on the Japanese game... will this be worth buying a used Vita to import this game? Or does this franchise suck?
