Sorry for the late response. I played through Medarot DS mostly fine, having experience with the English games helps a lot. I'm currently going through 8 and Dual at a snail's pace. The worst part of them all is getting a status effect and not knowing what it does.

It's hard to say Medarot is import friendly. Sure you can brute force the game with Metabee alone but that's just ineffective. Thing is there are a lot of different Medarot that have specific functions and a LOT of different strategies against different enemies.

You definitely won't be understanding the story at all, there will be much walking around trying to find where to go next. If you do get one then remember, the wiki is your best friend; failing that look for playthroughs on youtube to get past something you're stuck on. Part of the reason I got through DS was because while I was playing it, there was a half complete walkthrough on the wiki.

Maybe it's just me but the subs for 37 and 38 feel a tad bit off-timed. Like a few ms, nothing big, but enough to be noticeable. Does anyone else have this?

That's my fault.
Basically what happened is that I timed them perfectly in aegisub, then sent the file off to proofread.
For some reason, when the file came back and I opened it in aegisubs, all the timigs were off (not the actual numbers, but subs and audio/video were not in sync for some reason) si I tried fixing the timings there. I think that's the cause.
Some players play it right, others don't. No idea why, tough.
Of course, I'm really sorry for this and guarantee it will fixed for the batch release.

I have all of them except Cyandog. I think that they are ok, The KWG types have some problems standing but the KBT's have giant boxes for feet so they never fall. Gun-Nose and Metabee have a spring in the right arm that lets them shoot a projectile, and Rokusho has a spring in both arms to extend/retract his sword and the spikes on his hammer. Saikachis comes with extra parts to medachange. Still waiting for pic related to come out, if ever.

Death Providence is actually male too, not neutral. "Titania" is technically the name of the medal used by that character, so the player can swap the tinpet/medaparts out however they want when they join the party.

I'm not sure how you change Titania's gender (I don't have the game yet), but I do know that the other party members are locked into using the tinpets they started with, so Titania's a special case.

So has anyone else been playing pic related? I'm only a couple hours in but so far it feels like a more frantic version of LBX, and it looks like there's a decent amount of content, or at least a lot of bots. Surprisingly enough it seems pretty light on the story despite being an all girls spin off. There's not even that many lines of voiced dialogue from what I can tell, but again, I'm barely three hours in. The clothes finisher actually needs to be unlocked, so it doesn't feel all that fanservicey despite having an all female cast. Music isn't half bad either.

All this talk about the games made me try Medabots for GBA, and I thought the game is rng af. You never know what part you going to hit and effects on your medabot last forever while on the enemy it goes away in an instant (I'm playing Rokusho).
I feel the need to reset the game constantly what makes progress a pain.

I feel like the odds are good that the line will keep going at least a little longer, so y'know, considering that the only bots that might sell well are Sumilodon and maybe Arcbeetle, I'd say Peppercat's kit chances are good if sales don't decline horribly.
Koto seems to be a resilient company; once they start a line, they seems to stick with it. They're still putting out HoiHoi-San kits despite the fact that I can't even picture a person wanting one.

Rokusho is a Glass Cannon. Metabee trivializes many of the matches with Horn Missile.
Try to change leg medaparts according to the terrain.
Specify the highest traits in medals (Like Scout, Berserk and Strike on Rokusho, for example).
Use Scout parts. You will land more hits.
Grind for the parts if you want, but is not really necessary.
Diversify your team once you get more Tinpets. Try to mix parts and look what is the best for you in each situation.
High propulsion and proximity leg parts are useful for melee attackers, but try to make the type of terrain the priority.
Also, look up the Karin and Erica sidequest if you like.

One other thing that should be mentioned is that after using a berserk attack (Rokusho's hammer) you cannot dodge and anything that hits you will be a critical hit.

Koishimaru, the protagonist of 5 seems to be a pretty cool dude from what I've seen. Also, your actions and choices can affect his personality. Like on the first day he misses the bus and you need to choose between running to school or waiting for the next one which is an hour later.

It's not a bad idea. I had pic related as my leader for the longest time until I felt like I was winning way too easily. You won't be getting him for a while though. Another thing to consider is using a partner that blocks attacks for your leader and other partner.

As I said many times, the plan is to sub Bakusou Kyoudai Let's and Go!! but I'm still not sure. One other show I would like trying my hand at is Beyblade. I also want to give Medarot Damashii a look to see if it's as fun as the first series.
I also got my hands on the DVDs for Great Mazinger so I might trying translating and fixing the Italian subs to English (though I should probably watch Mazinger Z first).
In any case, I'll be working on my thesis in the next months so I can't promise the same pace I have been going at until now.

General consensus says it's not. If at any point you don't enjoy Damashii, you should probably not take it. It's better to sub something that you'll love doing.
