I had this old VHS as a kid I found at Goodwill, and I wanted to watch it again, but I can't remember the name to it.
It was about these bunch of guys in a post-apocalyptic-esque world who find these mecha and decide to fix them up and kinda be pirates with it. I remember that the main character's unit (or at least I think was the MC) was painted red, with a 4 leaf clover on it. One of the episodes also had them robbing a space freighter, and their ammo fucks up on of their mechs since it was old and expired.
Much help is appreciated.

That depends on their internals. They seem to be indistinguishable from organic most of the time, but there were those few scenes like in the beginning where you see something glowing under the skin.
They are probably clone-cyborgs rather than robots.
If your "human impersonator" robots can't be distinguished from humans by cutting them, fucking them, punching them, weighing them, x-raying them, or UV/thermal imaging them, they're pretty shitty (or rather, amazingly good) robots. It should be relatively easy to determine when the person in front of you is made of metal and hydraulics and wiring instead of flesh and bone if you're allowed to mess with them. If you can't tell, then they're pretty advanced biotech and we're really stretching "robot" now.

Ok, would Gundam/Mobile Suits be more realistic if they were Landmate sized?
They would be homosexual and look retarded. Shirow's landmates don't have heads or the same really humanoid shape as most mobile suits so that makes them look cool

Who would win in a fight, Eva Unit 01 or any gundam?
I don't know much about gundam, so you guys can pick a good match up.
Conditions:
>Fighting in an abandoned city
>Eva is plugged in and powered, backup plugs available in the city
>Shinji think the gundam is an angel
>Both have a full loadout of what they would usually take on a mission
>Resupply of ammo is available for both units
>Gundam pilot thinks Eva is a space pirate or whatever the hell gundam pilots fight
They seem like a pretty even matchup, but I think the Eva will come out on top, it's just so much more maneuverable and seems larger to an extent. What do you guys think?
-RX-78-2, Ground, Strike, MKII and GP01 would lose
-Alex, GP03, Zeta and ZZ would put up a good fight.
