Not really similar nor a show but the whole robot trying to fit into human society thing reminds me of Warbot in Accounting.

I know a little bitty bitty bitty bit about mecha (i know jack shit about mecha beyond watching gundam wing and not liking it). But I dig mecha designs. And I liked giant robots. And I wanna play this game big time cos it looks fucking radical.
Its a ps2 game based on ARMORED TROOPER VOTOMS (Sōkō Kihei Botomuzu).
But goddamn if i can even find a rom of it. So I'm wondering if any of you guys might know where I can find one.
Also Tallgeese is the coolest Gundam wing design (heavy arms a close second. And I mean the original versions not the jazzed up ones later on).

You might want to watch the anime it is from.
Same name, look it up. There's the main series made in the 80s that's a must watch, and an assortment of OVA prequels/sequels/spinoffs of varying degrees of quality.

I'll tell you, Season 1 was fun and not serious. in Try everything was super serious and took itself that way. Everyone knew in season 1 it was a fun game and hobby. try it was a sport and its a crime to have fun and it isn't a hobby. Its serious stuff.

Team Battles made the fights a whole lot less interesting because you had to work around 6 units rather than 1 vs 1.
Also the main machines weren't really interesting and didn't have interesting fighting styles.
You had a punch monkey, a bland Zeta revamp and a suit that went SD or Real.

Is the HG Zaku I Thunderbilt a good model for a first timer? I just saw what it looks like and holy shit I think it's my favorite Zaku.
How often do you guys replace nippers and xacto blades?
I haven't changed nippers before and I usually replace the blade arbitrarily every 5 or so kits.

I wouldn't personally suggest it for a beginner, you see all those little thrusters/verniers all over the body? Yeah those are all individual pieces that will need to be sanded and denubbed. There's also quite a lot of stickers on it and the joint coverings are pretty difficult to sand properly for a beginner imo.
