That is the idea, just taking some of the Showa camp, mixing in a pot with Japanese Cowboy Culture, some American stereotypes abroad and some of my own perspective moving from a ranch in the Panhandle to Houston at a young age.
Like, some Japanese kid who raises horses for a park or whatever finds an old antique shop with a puzzle box and a rusty sheriff's badge. The box opens and a bunch of malevolent spirits emerge and he fights them with the spirit of the Great Sheriff to become Kamen Rider ZaRaw (The Law). And there's like this big bad Satan-standin as a corporate head honcho, not even hidden as a human, just sitting in his office, a big bulky Senator-Armstrong bodied Demon in a business suit, smoking cigars, reading quarterly reports about the evil spirits. Maybe he's made a pact with the Great Sheriff to kill the spirits, like some sort of Ghost Rider homage, but he's still built as an old school 'im evil, im not bishie, and I know and love it'.
And there's a native american guy who carries around a big totem pole with animal spirits he uses to be the secondary rider, like the true descendant of the Great Sheriff, now continuing as Kamen Rider Brave. And they work against each other and together for the Soul Ammo or Shards, powerups for their guns or pole or devices. Add in the toyetic collect them all idea, you know?
Have room for some silliness, like the Great Sheriff compels our hero to eat Cheeseburgers and Hot Dogs, (and someone points out those weren't things in the old west, so this makes no sense) and he sheds tears for patriotism, and eagle noises keep announcing his presence and so on.

Different forms for different fighting styles, with the base form being a karate-esque brawler. Gadgets would be based on animals linked to the styles, such as a crane that turns into a thin sword or something, or a mini tiger that turns into a knee/elbow pad combo.
Kung fu would be the base form, with crane, monkey, and mantis being different form changes; muay thai would be the mid season upgrade, and jeet kune do would be the final form. Movie would be tae kwan do.
Secondary Rider would be based on more rudimentary fighting, with street-style brawling being the main style, and the upgrade being similar to Kuuga's ability to make his weapons out of different items, such as the handle for the Trychaser for Titan's sword.

Nah, Chase's sacrifice, showing that he considered everyone family was great, and that Drive x Heart feels moment at the end destroyed me, i just think that Sigma was a terrible last villain, and that at least Medic and Heart survived

There is a reason the Banno fight is considered the actual final boss of Drive, it has way more story significance and the whole scene in general with Gou claiming vengeance for Chase is amazing
