Anyone else reading this? Came out a few days ago.
Source is Ourai no Gahkthun/Gahkthun of the Golden Lightning. It's about an alternate history version of Nikola Tesla who becomes a Kamen Rider-esque warrior (complete with scarf) to fight against a secret society in England. Has power armor, giant mechs, and pretty over the top fights.

Hello Everyone,
It's that time once again! Below we will list our criteria to fill and topic discussion to cover. Our own efforts have pushed progression to the next stages. The script and a few designs need finalization but overall we are excited with updates!
Our recruitment has brought us to many boards and the most difficult position to accommodate proves to be our dedicated Background Artist. Granted our atmosphere is deep space exploration while taking place within ship interiors or even your own mecha cockpit. The mix of industrial and science fiction will be necessary.
Another key point is the illustration for entire setting itself, the CSS Via Argentum needs more concept art! We plan to fully show the proud flagship along with a map for navigation. Additional details described below.
Ambition has brought us this far and I'm pleased to announce that we've had steady interest for a fully voiced cast. Auditions have been set and the results will be posted once we arrive at our deadline. The thread can be viewed here. We have very specific voices in mind and this is no doubt one of the hardest decisions yet.

F91 is about when raw MS performance just starts to catch up with early Macross shit, and depending on minovsky particle density, Max might not have access to missiles. Add in the beam shield and Amuro's got a pretty good chance, here.

You can't really think this is a solid narrative.... even Tomino admitted it was shit.
Is it the animation? The mecha designs? Those are wonderful. But in terms of telling a compelling story with good characterization this just doesnt follow any rules of the narrative form. The first 10 episodes are nothing but whiplash paced cuts to seemingly unrelated events with characters acting completely the opposite of how they were when we last saw them, who then proceed to talk about backpacks until the next action scene.
How could you enjoy something so rushed and handled with such little care that even its creator couldn't be excited for? I've seen flawed gems, but this is more than flawed.

A big reason why TFA made so much is that it's the first Star Wars film since 83 to be set in the recognizable Star Wars universe. People were nuts to see X-wings, Tie Fighters, and Storm Troopers on the big screen again. Disney thinks this is their version of the MCU and that this will last forever though. Star Wars films are special and anticipated because there's so rare. The wow factor is going to go away when it becomes expected. After a few years, even die hard fans will not go out of their way to see the films right away.
I've heard some talk that they want to make it more like the Bond series, where there's a bunch of films, and breaks when they do badly, but the expectation is that they go on forever. Can you imagine a future where there's 40 Star Wars films? Disney will make their billions in the short term, but they're going to ruin the Star Wars brand in the long run.
Will they be able to bring something new to the table before people lose interest? Right now the films are just mining the original trilogy's Ralph McCurie designs and story ideas. Just fan pandering rehashes.

I think this will only be a problem if they start doing new "trilogies" back to back. That would just be retarded. However, doing these anthology movies isn't really that bad because they're basically just EU but as movies instead of books and comics so people would actually pay attention to them. This way they keep the franchise alive with sub-stories while keeping the hype for actual "Episodes" to be the major event. Again, this is of course assuming they're not going to go straight into Episode X like a year after IX is over

Also, it's probably the only way there would be any sort of way that anything regarding The Old Republic has even a snowball's chance of getting into theaters.
Why is this final-boss level again? It`s big and clunky, and I love it, but it only has a rifle and some sabers, no vulcans, no missiles and not even a shield! The average, basic Gundam has more features than this! Even Paptimus`s previous models like the Palace Athene had more weapons! So what`s the deal with this?
