New episode is quite contradictory:
1) the allusion to the current realities in the form of the invasion of the "coalition" into a "dictatorial country" under false pretenses for the sake of preventing diffusion of technology "Objects"
2) a girl fights over a guy with 200 kilotons of weapons and armor :)
So, I'm watching this and... I'm on episode 10 so far and this is really, REALLY boring. The characters are kinda okay, the world itself is okay too, but the story so far is so uninteresting that I'm trying my best to keep watching and try to enjoy it but I can't.
Does Macross 7 get any better beyond this point or can I leave it to later and watch Macross Zero and Frontier already before Delta starts airing?
And what is the importance of Macross 7 to the lore of the franchise anyway? Is it kinda like ZZ Gundam is for the Universal Century (it has it share of important moments for later entries in the series, but can be skipped), for example?

Eh, I can see where you're coming from. If you're familiar with Jojo Part 5 at all, I've compared it to Gold Experience Requiem before, as they're similar Deus Ex Machina that represent a direct thematic conclusion, but in doing so they're a bit silly at first glance.

IIRC, it's either a GBA or DS entry of the G Gen series. Before Wars, you had some semblance of an "original" plot in those games, and Monoeye Gundams is part of that.

Correcting: it was a Wonderswan Color game, which later got in SD G Gen DS as a series.
Zeta Gundam era video game sidestory (alternate continuity of course). The LRX series were made by the titans. The Terra-Suono is a Psycommu Mobile Suit/Armor WMD, and the Sisqude and Dezperda are its escorts. Dezperda is a Psycommu ace fighter, the Sisqude is not Psycommu but has dangerous boost (technically de-limited) mode that lets it take on and overpower Newtype enemies for a while. Sisqude falls into the hands of the AEUG.
