To be honest looking back on him Shinn might be one of the best pilots, he actually managed to study up on an enemy's fighting style and trained hard enough to beat him.
It was kinda the charm the first half or so of Destiny had,they would always have those briefing sessions and carefully plan out mission tactics, it was pretty cool to see that. Like the time Shinn had to fly through a dark cavern with only some 3d scans of the area, or when they had to stop the "break the world" operation

This is different for super mecha, of course.
Depends on the mecha. If you're a Scopedog pilot, be prepared to spontaneously combust at any moment. You'll die even if no one shoots at you.
If you have Zeorymer, then, well. Which is it gonna be? Kami or Akuma?

Rebuilds notwithstanding, many people will agree that the original Evaneglion was the height of Anno's career and skills as a director. But with all the George Lucas comparisons abound, how actually involved was he in making the show? Every episode had a different director and scriptwriter/storyboarder. Was Anno really the true genius behind Evangelion, or did he just happen to get an amazing staff to carry his ass like Lucas did in the Original Trilogy?

He was both the main series director and writer, so he had a lot more influence than he would've if he was just the director's seat (mainly because the director takes a backseat to the producer in tv production, according to what Lucas said in the Return of the Jedi commentary)

So I finished Gear Fighter Dendoh, this week.
"I think the show would have been better if it were like 26 or 28 episodes long, cause I think the 2nd half of it was pretty bloated mostly, but the last couple episodes of it were decent.

I was thought it was pretty enjoyable, mostly because of the characters and the mech action which was pretty interesting.
Knight Gear Ogre and W infinity were the best parts of the show for me.
what did you guys feel about it?
oh and it's powered by duracell fucking batteries
I found the shotas' voices to be unbearable for the most part so I could never finish the whole thing.
Remind me tho, they once wore each other's underwear for some reason right?

So /m/ after seeing the past few SRW General topics it seems like a lot of people here have had a hard time identifying mecha that have been around for a while so I figured this would be a good time to make visual chart guides for future reference and I have done a few (Turn A being one as shown here). With the various types of gespenstes, huckbeins, grungusts, elemental lords, lions, and the like I am wondering how to divide these guides up as well as figure out which translations are best, so why not make it a discussion topic?
