The idea for a show about a masked hero began with Toru Hirayama, who consulted Ishinomori for ideas and the two worked closely together in pre-production. Hirayama was the one who pushed for the "grotesque" suit being able to work as a hero suit when the execs wanted Ishinomori's first design, Crossfire, a much more typical hero design. The execs hated the idea and Hirayama kept shopping the show around until Ishinomori decided to tone down his designs into something more palatable.
The characters in the show, the way they act, those major story beats, that's 90% from Hirayama. Ishinomori actually only directs a single episode.

Different producers. Hirayama trusted Ishinomori's vision and tried his best to integrate that into the show in a way that was allowed on TV.
Ishinomori actually has a much more active role in Kamen Rider Black, which is why it's at times such a different show from what came before it.

Nope, they started doing the blog activity shit immediately after. I followed the blogs from cho climax to battride, there was a definite switch of priorities.
As for the engine, the only difference between cho and batt was that cho had a button to unlock-on(free move) instead of having that being the static state, and in batt you press a button to get into a locked-on state.
Battride is basically Cho with the free-move trigger pulled and a different camera set-up (instead of equidistant and to the side).
Super Climax added a shit load of new features that are very Battride-like.

SAL is just a mess in general, the delivery date is completely random, their tracking is so bad you will have the package in your home and it'll say it's still either in Japan or leaving Japan until it magically updates everything within 5 seconds to show all the steps it went through to get to you, and even with registered you have a slightly higher risk of your package getting lost in comparison to EMS or DHL but it's such a low chance that I'm only mentioning it since people have lost some packages before due to it.

His show's episodes go for less then 10 minutes and it's basically him finding a monster that's minding it's own business, where he then grapples with it for a while, then murders it by stabbing it or breaking their necks. The music in the show is really ominous as well.
