Stronger is pretty spectacular and honestly, if you want an introduction into showa, it's the way to go.
The problem with Blade was mainly translation errors, but the majority of the worst ones have been covered. People will say "Bad acting" but that shit cleans out by like, the 17th or so episode and then it goes from a pretty good show to an absolutely great one.

Ultraman and Kamen Rider are fairly different aside from being the earlier toku to actually start using less grounded motifs (Moonlight Mask and such were mainly going against gangs and shit, not monsters) to be honest. Ultraman's a lot more about amazing prop and environment work, though Ultraseven's plot is still one of my all-time favorites, whereas the original Kamen Rider holds more onto being kinda fuckin' freaky at times. Especially the first thirteen episodes.
Unfortunately, you can't get a full version of the original series in English, KITSubs are the guys doing it and they're only up to episode 49 of 98, I think. Stronger, on the other hand, is fully translated, and I honestly do recommend it.
