I think this guy misses the point that you can have a character who accomplishes what they were meant to do and still be wholly unlikable.

There's plenty of light novels out there, but very little in the West. Which is a shame because we lack the glory of such works as Mazinger Z and Getter Robo in a literary form. I'm about 10,000 words into correcting this injustice.
