>No they honestly do throttle the speed of 3DCG. There is a video of them working on Black Rock Shooter battle scenes at Sanzigen showing how it would look fully animated then the process they take to make it look more anime by removing frames.

I-Is this true? One of my many complaints against 3D animation is that it is for some unknown reason incredibly choppy. It also clashes immensely with the rest of the show and looks incredibly cheap. But I thought the choppiness was due to low budgets, or animation incompetency. But apparently it's done on purpose? That's even worse.

There's no reason to believe that. If you can do a good looking movement in CG, less FPS would only ammounts to a little less render time, IIRC.

No, I'm pretty sure most peoples complaint against 3DCG is that its 3DCG. Even if it was done well, they'd still hate it.

Never seen on screen other than this single image I'm pretty sure. There is a bit of lineart somewhere, but I don't have it scanned. This is the car Hiyoshi mentions in the first episode as not being able to qualify when the GSX is registered to Hayato. IIRC it was used the previous year to attempt to qualify and failed.

I really fucking love it.
Its basically Attack On Titan but with semi-hard sci-fi, and not shit pacing.
Also Izana Shinatose is the best.
Why is there very little of it made and how do we fix it? You would think with the internet everyone would know of Gundam by now and would want to see more like it. Pacific Rim is awesome and I am looking forward to the sequel and Chappie but there is so little else out there. Will we see a renaissance of the mecha genre in the next decade or so? Why is it taking so long?

So I recently finished reading all the Lensman material I could find. It was awesome.There's power armor, espers, and inertia-less drives. The alien are quite alien, like to the point of operating on separate dimensions simultaneously just for sustenance. The anime, or rather the movie was okay, but really strays from the source material.

It just looks so wrong. Like, they wanted to do a Guntank based off modern armor, but then they left that ancient head and for some reason decided to give it split treads when it's not a transforming Guntank at all. And I question all the recoil it's going to face.

Seriously though, Victory Gundam thread.
I really like the setting of this series, it is like medieval Europe but set in the future, and I also like the names of all of the places and colonies - Gibraltar, Macedonia etc,. And, sort of related to my pic, even though there is so much death and destruction and whatnot going on, it isn't "grimdark" or "edgy" or too serious (like some people think Zeta is), but it also doesn't feel like it is changing tones all the time like ZZ may or may not be guilty of.

I like the gang's wardrobe, it's very starving Eastern European peasant/ethnic cleansing victim-chic. It absolutely contributed to making the world feel more grimdark.
Hell, these clothes alone and Uso's constant shellshocked 'WTF is even goin on' look make Victory more of a proper post-apocalyptic shitpit than X could ever dream of.
