If I could 3D print stuff I'd be making more than just Gunpla. Bandai would not have a reason to use it much at the moment IMO as mass production of Gunpla seems much more easily facilitated by good old fashioned injection molding.
This seems like how 3D printing is right now on the whole, IMO. Not something applicable to mass production, but more of something that you can use to maybe make a one-off in a semi-tolerable quality. When you want mass production, though? Make a mold.
There have been some instances of people 3D printing articulated figures but this can vary quite a bit. At any rate, using premade joints is a good way of doing it right now, for whatever other work you'd have to do.
At any rate the technology is not at the level yet where I can easily create my giant robot waifu with outrageous shade-casting cleavage, disproportionate birthing hips, the gaudiest fashion sense imaginable, and a taste for JUSTICE, so I'll just have to wait.

Why sell an easy-bake oven when you could just sell more modular mass-produced kits? Like, you may make more money from the sale of the item for a little bit, but ultimately it'd be easier for everyone, Bandai included, to sell modular kits you can make your Donut Steels from.

The plot was easy to follow, Cumpa was behind everything and driving people into forced wars to break the whole taboo shtick in order for humanity evolve
The characters have great development specially Raraiya who we wee develop for more than 10 episodes as she recuperates from her air asphyxiation from space re-entry, we see how Bell changes and aida becomes less stubborn. Jesus too many characters to name but MICK JACK IS AMAZING
Mecha designs there were great it's sad we havent gotten kits for some of the units but eventually they will come.
My problem with the show was the pacing at least in some episodes was fast and others a bit slow, very inconsistent especially the final episode. But yeah G-Reco was a great Gundam show and HEAVILY under appreciated by Gundam fans

For example, let's say I lure them into a massive C4 field. Even if they realise what it is two seconds before I detonate, the explosion will simply be too large for them to dodge by that point.

Both are good in different situations.

A) Might as well be a super-human. Not much different from a hero archetype in most cases but even good use makes it feel like nothing more than a supersoldier.
B) Assuming a hard "real" focus, it's a vehicle. Possibilities are endless, for good or for bad. Entirely depends on how it is written, but to me it is almost always more interesting than powered armor.
Powered armor might as well be a legendary sword and shield with a modern dash of flavor, or when produced en masse, nothing more than standard outfit for a future soldier. Mecha have tons of possibilities. The difference between Dragonar, Dougram, VOTOMS, and Gundam are fairly notable and that's within series that are pretty similar to each other.

There was an interview in the middle of Aldnoah.Zero where he said he was disappointed that he never got to pilot, and he doesn't seem likely to pilot in IBO or Delta.

Most of it, really. Everything looked great, the music was good, and they got me surprisingly interested and invested in certain members of the crux. The lesbians were badly handled, no shocker there.
I thought the fact that the only backstory or lore that we get on the cybodies is so storybook and steeped in its own mythology was pretty cool. They is shit that has been buried for centuries or even millenia, most of the details are just long since forgotten.
They messed up with Takuto, though. He isn't a bad character, but the story is written in such a way that he isn't allowed to be anything but flawless in battle. If he took any damage at all in a fight, its game over with no hope of recovery. They wrote themselves into a corner, and as such the only fight that feels like it has any weight at all is the last episode where he really is getting beaten to hell.
That is a pit they very easily could have avoided, but they didn't, and the show suffered for it.
