What the fuck, you guys recommended this. What gives? Battroid is useless, Gerwalk is pretty much the only useful combay form, and fighter mode is just for carting my ass around. Cutting thrusters is no longer a viable tactic, which was my favorite thing to do in the PSP games, and the boost mechanic is atrocious, even after tuning/upgrading to a new valk (unforgivable in a macross game.) the only thing I can give it is aiming the Gunpod can be a mildly fun mechanic sometimes Does it get better?

Why do people call GaoGaiGar "hard sci-fi?" It's a superhero show but with mecha superheroes, like most super robot anime.
Nobody has ever called GaoGaiGar hard sci-fi.
What it does do that's unusual is it puts a heavy emphasis on technobabble and the efforts of the support crew to provide a solution to the problem of the week that's based in logical thinking and teamwork. It is not the only super robot show to do this, but it's a pretty good example of how it should be done.
