Char was only ever pretending to be Garma's friend. It's not clear that Char is actually even capable of having friends in the conventional sense, not after so many years of masks and betrayals that he manages to justify to himself as not really being betrayals because the person he's betraying hurt him first. The only people he ever actually, honestly liked were Lalah and in a very twisted sense Amuro, even though he also despised Amuro just as much as the Zabis for killing Lalah.

So, what i wanna do here is start a conversation about cockpits. Design, functionality, etc.
It may be a little controversial but, as much as i love cyberpunky cockpits like pic related, i don t think they would be actual useful in a mech. I mean, you can manouver a tank with those for sure, but for high paced mech combat gundam gangnam style they wouldn t realistically do the job. How could two levers that go forward and backward be able to translate all of the movements two arms and hands (not even talking about fingers de fuck) can make?
Mechs have realistic and human movements. I think to be able to get a result like that a cockpit should be designed like the ones of the orbital frames from ZOE and have deep connections with the pilot s central nervous system so that he can move his mech mainly with his thoughts than his actual movements.
What does /m/ think?

Most of those are pre-programmed. We never see Gundam do anything exceptionally articulate aside from "grab thing," which can be done by the onboard AI that Amuro couldn't stop jerking off. It's not like they're painting or anything-- video game controls should do the trick. In the more super robot-focused series like Wing and 00 Evangelion or Gunbuster controls would be better. Actually, Gunbuster probably has my favorite cockpit.
I feel like having VR headsets instead of a bunch of screens is a pretty interesting solution.

Hey guys, so I've been out of the super robot loop for a couple years now. Love the shit out of super robots and I've been on a kamen rider binge for the last couple years. Last thing I watched was Star Driver, and it was alright. Was wondering which are your personal fav series and what I should check out. My list of things I've seen:

I distinclty remember a scene where a lizard man has the main character prisoner and they're walking him down a hall. He does the classic 'whats behind you move' and the lizard guy falls for it. He looks back after the main character is running away down the hall and just stares at him like his bosses are going to kill him for fucking up so bad.
It was such a stupid nonsensical scene and I laughed for about an hour at how dumb it was.

I just finished MSG and Zeta Gundam last week.
Can anyone explain why Bright tolerates this shit? Compared to how he treated Amuro and later Kamille, he more or less just rolls over for Judough, and there's no real explanation as to why,
ZZ took a giant, steamy shit on Bright's character.
It's one of the many reasons why Tomino retconned it with the Zeta movies.
