I have always wondered what the population of the individual Sides where in Gundam during the earlier UC timeline. Wasn't the Principality of Zeon at a MONSTROUS manpower disadvantage during the whole war? What was the population of the Axis?

Yup. That's why they nuked the ever-loving shit out of the Federation, and dropped colony.
each individual colony cylinder was like a large city and about 10 million people. Side 3(Zeon) had higher populations then others. Because they were the only closed types and more surface area for people.
Zeon killed a couple billion people during the first few months of the war.

Yes. In the show it's completely obvious that they are going to lose once they are kicked off earth. They really have nothing except some super weapons to slow down Feddie forces.
We need a GM thread to show those Zeeks that the Federation wields superior machines.

What are /m/'s thoughts on Battlestar Galactica?
Good timing. I just finished the show. Didn't have a problem with where they went with the story but the ending could have been executed a bit better, not bad just needed a few more scenes to flesh things out.
Loved it overall. Not sure why people hated the last season, personally felt the latter half of season 3 was the weakedt.

Started off great, but lost the plot after the New Caprica arc. You can tell that they were literally making shit up as they went along.

the new order/empire is esentially the same, except more like the aggressive zeek fanboys of /m/ who've taken their cosplaying a little too far
the silver stormtrooper is the kind of imperial fanboy\girl? that writes fanfiction and has made up/designed their own super edgy take on an imperia but they too have gotten too into character

It's pretty cool actually, like watching a Gundam episode with the screen off. It seems to be pretty different from some summaries of the novels I've read though.
By the way, my Japanese is terrible, so if you see anything horrendously bad in there, just mention it. Hopefully Gaia Gear can get the attention of a real translator who isn't looking up every second word in a dictionary.
