What does /m/ think about Mass Effect?
I think Mass Effect is a pretty cool guy, he fights robots and doesn't afraid of downloadable content.

Honestly I can't stand how badly it went down hill. Reapers were so intimidating in 1. In 3 you're killing them with rocket launchers.

I am unsure what exactly you mean by mechs that would make Gundam-sized robots not qualify as such.
Also Gundams aren't all that big compared to for instance a lot of the series they rub shoulders with in SRW.

I think this was from a thread that 404'd recently. Anyways, Gomora was always one of my favorite Ultra kaiju.
Just out of curiousity, is it just me, or are monsters in Tokusatsu forgettable due to their monster of the week status? I mean there are memorable ones, but the majority I don't seem to remember whenever I revisit a show. Does anyone feel this way about monsters of the week?

What's the advantage of using the core fighter only instead of using the Gundam directly? They just keep doing that shit.

I can only say that it's the mobility that the Core Fighter has that the Gundam doesn't

Gundam can't fly, Core Fighter is faster.
Plus it lets them use more stock footage if he decides to combine.

There are a few. One of the transformers (the yellow Autobot) is named Bumblebee. Also, if you consider the Alien franchise /m/ at least, in the expanded universe they have Queen aliens producing this "Royal Jelly" stuff like bees do.

Not many bees springing to mind super quickly. That giant bee-monster in Monsterpocalypse. iirc there's been a couple of bee enemies in Kamen Rider. Was there a bee-themed boss in Mega Man?

His suit is supposedly made of metal. His giant robot is...actually made of stone.
Fuck, I dunno. Toei probably just wanted to keep the branding going despite the weird look. At least Jiraiya looks like he has some metal on him, the other ninjas in the show are hilarious.

-Slow but heavily armored.
-Performance is contrasted to the lightly armored but wickedly fast Flag and Hellion.
-Blade weapon is pretty cool but slow if used against heat hawk or beam saber.
-Ranged weapon are cool but seem like a step back when compared to a simple machinegun or beam rifle.
-Looks awesome though. The design was what first drew me to the 00 universe.

They aren't bad when fighting the Anfs. Their armour were perfectly adequate against solid weapons.
Just finished watching all of the Getter Robo OVAs. I enjoyed them all, but they felt like they weren't living up to their full potential. They could have been great, but along the way some elements were fucked up and they merely became somewhat decent.
So, /m/, what are your opinions on the Getter Robo OVAs? How would you rank them? What would you like to see if they ever made another one?

SvN would have been god tier if it was, like, five episodes longer. Or if the four episodes were more OVA length.
Armageddon was a blast.
I remain annoyed at New for a lot of reasons (GETTER 1 GETTER 1 GETTER 1 GETTER 1 GETTER 2 GETTER 1), but it wasn't absurdly horrible.Toei series was good, at least the original was for the half of the show I've seen.

Do people actually like the Gelgoog? Because I always thought this thing was incredibly ugly but this is Zeon's mainline combat suit of the future and has a billion variants.
