I drive a tank in the USA military and I have to say that you guys are missing out. It's a Mech. A real life Mech. The inside is cramped, it's covered with guns, and we drive around asserting USA dominance over the dirt religions of the deserts. The amount of tech in the modern tank is more than the robotics Japaneese could have imagined in the 80s. We have FLIR, automatic cannon tracking, stabilizer turret, face ID, active armor, etc. etc. Legs are inefficient and just slow you down; we can drive 65 mph in our tank. we are gods.

What are some mecha anime with fighters that can turn into mechs other than Mospeada and Macross? I think this is my favourite mecha gimmick and want to see more.
Aside from some east-asian knockoffs, not much.

Zeta Gundam. ZZ can turn into a single large fighter, but usually splits into two regular sized fighters. Delta Plus from Gundam Unicorn, Murasame from SEED Destiny, Airmaster from After War Gundam X, the Flag and Brave from Gundam 00, AGE-2 from Gundam AGE, and I'm sure I'm forgetting at least two.

Yas' only work in Zeta was the character design. So probably not.

Nyagoking/Catatonic now has a translucent forehead dome with the trademark beckoning cat visible inside. Word at the show was there's also a soft vinyl figure collection in the works, so it looks like the Pizza Cat train is still running strong. Also, if you haven't preordered the Dynamite Action Nyagoking/Catatonic, you'd better do so soon, it's coming out in March.
