You can skip it and just read the wiki page if you want, but watch ZZ does make for a more complete experience.
CCA doesn't rely too heavily on ZZ outside of a few questions that if you don't ask them, won't matter. Like 'why's axis here?' and 'where's Haman?' You should be fine with a simple wiki page skim.
There are a bunch of references to ZZ in Unicorn though. It's nothing too serious as none of the principle characters carry over outside of Bright....
