What shows could be considered honorary Go Nagai?
I know of two at the moment.
First, you have Godannar, which has tits, ass, Ichiro Mizuki and Hiroya Ishimaru (Kabuto Kouji's voice) as Tatsuya. The director Yasuchika Nagaoka also worked on Shin Cutey Honey.
The second one has to be Daimidaler. Again, it has tits, ass, a nagai like protag, and the three professors names and look in that show are actually based on the three professors from Mazinger.

What is it about Gundam that attracts so many autisms? Is it Tomino's style of writing which perhaps appeals to the puzzle piece impaired? I have not seen a fan-base so infested with such challenged folks. Not even Getter-Robo or Gurren Lagann seems to attract the same level of special needs citizens?

Gundam is the most popular mecha show. There are also more non-autistic people who like Gundam than there are of any other franchise due to this. If 1-100 people are autistic, and 1000 like Gundam, where 100 like Getter, you are going to find 10 times the amount of autists in the Gundam fanbase than the Getter fanbase.
