Now that both have finished /m/en which one was better? I would go with IBO, since I can't stand Bellri's personality, Overreacting to everything like a bitch. Also the way the story was portrayed was a huge minus, I understood it all but it seemed over the place. IBO with it slowass pacing did this better imo. Also I find Orga way more interesting than Bellri. yes I view Orga as the mainprotag of IBO based on his development. What is /m/'s take on this?

Mikazuki is just a Setsuna pastiche but with more plot armor gary stu thrown into the mix
>>14239798
>I have no idea what I'm talking about but want to say words.
Honestly I thought they were both awful
>>14239798
>Mikazuki is just a Setsuna pastiche
Setsuna was showing actual emotions by like episode 16 or so and changing as a person. Mikazuki hasn't done jack shit in comparison
Is Eden good? Found the first 5 volumes on some bookstore and they're some thick books.
>>14239641
I remember reading this.
It's one of the those that doesn't give you a lot of closure, but that's kinda the point.
It was okay.
>>14239641
I haven't read it but I only heard great things.
I would certainly buy it if they weren't so hard to find.
>>14239641
yeah I read it. It's pretty boring honestly. I don't remember much about it, I don't think I even finished it.
Why would a mobile suit pilot bother to wear a pilot suit when operating on Earth?
>>14239628
Protects your body from some of the rigors of piloting, rather like actual pilot suits do.
>>14239628
filter smoke out
suit offers insulation and or protection
regulation
communication and data stuff in helmet
its their fetish
>>14239628
Why would a racecar driver bother to wear a flame retardent suit and helmet on Earth?
Getter Robo is one of the best mangas ever made.
You want to know why?
Compared to Gundam and other mecha, Getter Robo is the only manga I know of that's highly compassionate towards animals and other human beings.
Ken Ishikawa was one with nature and closest to Buddha, and he was also the friendliest non-offensive person you could ever meet.
Seriously, if you don't read Getter Robo now, you won't understand what true love is.
I remember. I remember!
>>14239238
Love?
>>14239243
Ohhhhhhh, Joe!
Is Son of Godzilla the most hated movie in the series?
I don't know about most hated, but Godzilla's Revenge is certainly the worst film. Say what you will about the '98 one, but it at least had the dignity to not be a feature-length clip show.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone rank all of the movies without putting Godzilla's Revenge at the bottom. Not sure how you got the impression that Son of Godzilla was the most hated unless you thought that they were the same movie.
>>14238522
Some people really like Revenge for the nostalgia. I appreciate it for the fact that it is the only film Godzilla may not be real and the actual story is good for a kid movie but I much prefer every other movie to it
The final arc in this was pretty shitty and the shit animation didn't help. Also too many dumb Imagawa twists.
shit shit dumb shit shit dumb dumb shit
>>14238084
That's right. Even the 60's series was more animated than the last episode of this.
>>14238112
okay
Is this the most /m/ video game ever?
No? All the ones that have outright robotsi nstead of weird stone god guys that ride spaceships are probably more /m/.
And more game.
>>14236139
It does have outright robtos though
>>14236139
If I remember correctly all of the gods were actually robots.
Anyone know about this movie? I just watched it, it was /m/ as fuck, and very well done too.
Good mecha content, good effects, good camerawork, good acting, good directing, good action.
The only thing lacking was the story, which was not bad but was just thin.
It was pretty damned garbage.
>>14236038
I will check it out. Looks cool. Is this a UK movie? I love budget movies that blow it out of the water. Reminds me of Dredd or something.
Here's a page with designs, VFX before and afters, and other such fun.

Are Mospeada BDs subbed past first 13 eps?
I don't think so, but you can always ask Bunnyhat's twitter, I'm not sure if he wants to be bugged about mecha encoding on his personal twitter though. If you do ask be sure to bring up the GaoGaiGar BDs too.
Mospeada more like MORESHITTER
>>14235973
You joke, but it is pretty shit.
Post ugly machines from various mecha anime
>>14235114
>Bigfoot
>Ugly
I'll fight you.
Now THIS is an ugly one. It's too bad the Cabarov never showed up much.
God have pity on the Ottrich.
I mean the thing is meant to be an excavator more than the other WMs, but I feel like they really jobbed hard compared to the rest.
On the other hand, it isn't -that- ugly.
>>14235212
You can replace the drill with a missile pod though.
Pic not related
So is anybody going to this?
I want to watch the screening of Origin III and the Gundam panel but I literally can't find any information on what time they're happening.
Also, I don't want to pay to get into the expo only to find out I needed purchase some other ticket for the Gundam stuff.
I'm going
I'm pretty much in the same boat as you, I wouldn't be going to MCM otherwise
The Gunpladust Memories review of last year's MCM London con was hilarious
>randomly dumping best girl with the most character development on a moments notice for no reason related to the plot
well that was a shit ending
Yeah, I didn't care for that either.
We need more Ishtar
>>14233819
Why do you think Kawamori hates it but loves Ishtar?
hey /m/. I'm about half way through MSG and I have a question. how much is it amuro becoming a better pilot. like how much does that learning computer compensate for him? also is the learning computer going to become a staple in new mobile suits? also can I take a break from binging msg and watch thunderbolt or 8th ms squad?
When Sayla pilots the suit she brings up how before when she'd land shots in the simulator, she was missing in the gundam, so I'd image it was basically correcting every one of his shots early on.
>>14233034
>also can I take a break from binging msg
No. If you watch anything else before finishing MSG, Tomino will come through your window at midnight and cut your nipples off.
>>14233034
the learning computer certainly helps, but amuro becoming a better pilotand a fucking psychichelps a lot too.
if you want to watch thunderbolt or 08th ms team go for it, they're side stories set in the same war but they don't really impact the plot (and thunderbolt at least is an alternate timeline). just don't give up on 0079 because it just continues to get better as the show goes on
Why do we suddenly like Train-Wrecko?
>>14233027
>we
You got a tapeworm?
>>14233027
we shouldn't?
>>14233027
Because, Garzey's Wing aside, Tomino's a director who puts out consistently watchable and enjoyable series?
Hell, even Garzey's Wing is just hilariously bad instead of pure garbage.
Hey Kamen Rider fags, why won't you allow ishimorifags in your threads? At least he'll stop spicposting in every Dynamic Pro thread he finds.
>>14232637
The Fuck are you on about?
>>14232672
Learn to keep up and learn about history, newfag.
>>14232672
Due to the actions of three or four extremely dedicated shitposters, (some of whom might be the same person but I doubt it) /m/ is no longer capable of having anything remotely resembling a decent thread involving Shotaro Ishinomori, Mitsuteru Yokoyama, Go Nagai or Ken Ishikawa. There's like five threads in the catalog right now about either one of them and they're all exclusively shitpost threads, including this one. I don't know why liking all four of them is somehow mutually exclusive, but there...
