Kira and Lacus's only concern was getting ORB out of the war. They didn't even attempt to investigate who sent the assassins, only assuming they were ZAFT because of the mechs used (when everyone is using stolen ZAFT MS, including Kira and Lacus) and Andy saying that the assassins were coordinators.
Destiny only works if everyone takes their stupid pills.

Manga is average. The art is beautiful, CLAMP handled 90s shticks in a very, very good way way. Shitty crappy Chinese BDrips are on torrent trackers now. Dark Horse (unflipped!) digital copies are everywhere, they're nice.
About to watch Dragon's Heaven on a recommendation.
Anything I should know going into this? I keep hearing comparisons to moebius, but is there any deeper meaning to that? This also looks a lot like Nausicaa, so was moebius just really influential at the time?

Was this the only thing Makoto Kobayashi ever directed? The fact they built a mech in real life just for this 24 minute short blows my mind, & I feel like I'm missing something behind the scenes.

Personally I thought Mazinkaiser was pretty boring and never really got the love it gets. Shin Mazinger was much more enjoyable in my opinion.

It's largely because it actually feels like you're watching the manga animated. Neither of the other adaptations do that. Also it had really good animation and adapted the best manga stories (ignoring Danube Alpha) without shitting the bed.
