Inafune exaggerated his role in the creation of mega Man. Akira Kitamura made Mega Man. Inafune just did the art for the cover, title screen and manual. I'm not saying he had no role in Mega Man (he did create Zero after all), but he became "the guy" associated with Mega Man, like he was the one personally behind it all.

He then road the coat tails of his association with MM to millions of dollars.

But there's a lot of evidence he's pretty incompetent as a game producer. The MN9 project seems really mismanaged. The people making it, including director Koji Imaeda have zero experience with 2D platformers.

They were too ambitious. They want to release on every single platform ever, which likely eats up huge amounts of money and time. The weakest console, 3DS acts as a huge bottleneck for the game.

Inafune's trying to launch a multi-media empire before he has the game. You release the game first, then build up slowly from there as you get the growing fanbase. MM's fanbase was not created over night.

The graphics are real shit too. Beck's design is pretty good in art. In game model he looks like some kind of rodent-man with chubby cheeks.

The entire project needed a serious KISS approach. There's doujin MM clones like Rozenkruzestillete that are simple, low budget, and fun. They're coming to Steam in Spring so be sure to pick those up.

I think their story has been told as well as it could be. I wouldn't be against more 'kids in space' shows though. That last one I can remember is Stellvia of the Universe.

There is an unsubbed follow-up show, although its reputation is supposedly sketchy.

Basically what this means is that rather than the mobile suit being fresh out of a factory, it's quite the opposite. Whether it's trudging through dense jungles or dodging debris in asteroid belts, your mobile suit has seen some better days.
You've been out in the field for quite a long time now, nearly half a year of active duty in the front lines and your personal mobile suit's pretty banged up. What's worse is the fact that there isn't a maintenance bay within several thousand kilometers of your local area that's capable of making any major repairs. Your unit's engineering crew has resorted to patch work and jury-rigging to keep your machine operational. Stray fire might have crippled its legs and arms or otherwise dealt considerable damage to a mobile suit's systems meanwhile some units have simply lost bits of armor and panels to the elements and have been forced to patch weld metal sheets over the exposed inner workings.
In any case it's beaten to hell but somehow you and your team have somehow kept it chugging along and now command's ordered all units operating in your theatre to fall back to form a defensive line against the enemy offensive.

The villains of G-Reco are bad guys are the people who take the simple event of "the Crescent Moon Ship is coming from Venus" and add their own interpretations to twist it into a story with which they can move the world. The exact same thing that dictators and cult leaders have done throughout history. Belri stops them by going along with the flow and doing his best to handle only what's in front of him. That's why there's no intentional dramaturgy to be found in the story which is shown from his viewpoint, and instead it's like reading a replay of a tabletop RPG or watching a documentary on the Discovery Channel where you're left in a vagueness free of undulations with no clear rhythm. The easiest example of someone fooled by the danger of stories is Mask. As a passionate revolutionary who seeks to free the oppressed caste of the Kuntala, he at first seems to be more of a hero than Belri, who just wanders around with no clear goal. However, in the show itself, discrimination against the Kuntala is only mentioned, and not once seen. In other words, in the world of G-Reco, discrmination against the Kuntala exists only in Mask's imagination, and this is his "story". And in order to complete said story, his forces onto Belri the roleplaying of the villain. This is solely because Belri's lineage and surroundings contain elements that would make him a good villain for Mask.

Thanks, I was looking for the pdfs specifically since they convert to jpeg pretty well for the lineart. I really wish a lot of the variants in the manga got their own stuff i.e. those Gloucester and Portman customs.
