The pacing issues are because it was originally meant to be a TV series. They kept the beginning intact and cut right to the conclusion, skipping everything in between.

Yeah, I think the pacing is fine for 3/4 of the movie. And as you said, it just jumps right to the end. Which is why I think it would have been best to make 2-3 films out of the story.
What we have now feels like the first part of Star Wars, and then you tacked on the end where they fight the Emperor from Return of the Jedi.

So I've never seen a Gundam series, but obviously I've seen dozens of Gundam designs around /m/. However, the vast majority of them are the most generic, uninspired Japanese mech design. The only genuinely good one I've ever seen is pic related, which is also the only Gundam series that really has me interested in watching.
But anyways, to the point. I'm not just shitposting. Can anyone show me at least a single other Gundam design that is actually good, and not an overdesigned mess of triangles? I'm genuinely curious.

Over-designed is subjective. There's tons of good gundam designs, and using Turn A as your base isn't fair due to its unique design.

There are periodic threads on his various suits. He's pretty much the most prolific western /m/ character. As a fan of the comics since latr 80's I loved the first two films and Avngers, but the only parts of 3 I really liked were Rhodey. I'm REALLY hoping they give Don Cheadle Iron Man 4 since RDJ/Tony wants to quit anyway.
Not in the Iron Patriot armor, though, but as full-on Iron Man like he was in the comics.
