HEY!
Yet another one bites the dust. Now Miz is fucked as well. Could be a possible break. Has there ever been an injury crisis like this in modern wrestling history? Not that I can remember in 22 years as a fan.

When will the "Russo is bad" meme die?
He single-handedly booked the greatest two years in WWE history (only 2000 under Kreski comes close). His time at WCW was a great improvement over the shit they had been putting out but he was working with an inferior roster, an inferior character web, and a shit load of issues with egos. TNA was always a disaster and he did the best he could.
If you really think McMahon was the key to the Attitude era success, you're ignorant. If you really think Russo was writing eight hours of ideas a week and Vinny Mac was...

Russo pls
Hi Russo
I think Russo isn't a bad story teller, but Cornette said it best, once the bell rings, Russo is lost.
>arrives
>gets serious hype built around him
>squashes some jobbers
>big things seem ahead
>earns an NXT Title Match
>it gets interrupted
>he never gets another shot
>loses to Corbin
>now he's feuding with Elias Samson
Where did it go wrong?
>>1100327
He'll be pushed when the current top guys move up
He got a match against Balor afterwards, just not for the belt
LITERALLY FUCKING WHO?
Trish once said in a magazine interview that Stephanie ribbed her at No Way Out 2001.
Steph was supposed to only "play spank" Trish. But during the match, Steph actually laid the smacks in and spanked Trish hard.
Here's a GIF of when it happened. Can you tell if the spanks are real or not? Does it look like she's really spanking her? Or was Trish only joking?
Also, Divas thread.
>This is the type of shit Trish Stratus has to complain about
>This is as stiff as her ring work got
>This is as mean spirited as her "ribbings" got
She had the easiest career of anyone in history and she was still the worst wrestler ever.
>>1096352
She isn't even the worst blonde that Vince has pushed because they gave him a boner.
>>1096340
The don't look overly worked but even if they where real its not gonna hurt that much. If she's moving like that I doubt even a full on spank would warrant complaining.
Now that the dust has settled what is the official /asp/ consensus on Eddie Guerrero? How was he as a wrestler and at the mic? Did you cry during his memorial like half the roster and crowd did?

His character and ringwork were pretty spectacular but I've heard that he was actually a prick off kayfabe.
What can you expect from them Mohicans
He was awesome and I remember marking out for him a lot when I saw him perform live 2 weeks before his death. Then again I've liked Eddie Guerrero since 2001 when I started watching wrestling.

the world's first real-life cartoon character
So Summer Rae and Lana are teaming together for Wrestlemania.
I don't watch Smackdown but can someone tell me if "The Always Sexy and Submissive" Summer Rae and "Cold, Dead Fish" Lana had any kind of positive interaction before teaming up.
The last interaction they had together involved Summer fucking Lana's boyfriend/fiancee Rusev and then Summer finding out that Rusev was playing Summer the entire time because he loved Lana. WWE aren't forgetting their own storylines again, are they?
3 day rule. If it didn't happen in the last 3 days it didn't happen.
Like every undercard plot in WWE there's a clip on their YouTube channel that gives it more development than their 5 hours of TV ever will

Soft tip dart fag here, no /asp/ only watches wrestling and maintains an air soft thread. Sorry bro.
I got an 18 hole course and a 9 near me. Pretty fun sport to play but I mostly do it when we go out there and get drunk. Love to get back into it though
Seems like the sort of hobby that would have a large crossover with vaping.
I think if I ever saw someone vaping and playing frisbee, I would have to smack them up a bit.

>austin was a great wrestler before he broke his neck
I absolute hate this fucking meme being parroted and repeated by these retarded underagers on here. Fuck Steve Austin. Never could ever wrestle, he doesn't hold a candle to Bret Hart or John Cena. Fuck him, he sucks and is overrated as fuck and is shit tier on the mic to boot. *yells in a redneck accent*
But he was
Havent you seen his series of matches with Bret Hart? I suggest you do, greatest feud ever pham
Dean Ambrose is a better wrestler than austin

>he doesn't hold a candle to Bret Hart or John Cena
Man, if you didn't say Cena we wouldn't even have known this was bait. Almost well played, OP.
Quick question,
In TEW is it possible to hire or assign anyone to the lower tier shows?
I like booking Smackdown and Raw and all that, but who gives a single shit about Main Event or Superstars?
Pic related, it's the genius who i'll hire to turn Main Event around!
>>1101552
I honestly don't know and also want to know if you can do this. It takes forever to book a show and i dont want to spend all my time on main event and superstars. I tried cancelling all my tv contracts for them but I still had to book it.
>>1101552
not as far as i know. it's generally easy to book them anyways, their ratings don't influence the company so you can do fuck all on them. i just made a custom angle called "weekly recap" and just made it so my announcers recapped bullshit for 15 minutes. if you really don't want to book any matches for it yourself, though, just use the assistant booker thing (i never use it cos i have plans for everyone of my roster members)
also, if you're using the same saves as i am, you can...

I've had similar ideas. I have legends like Hogan and Sting come in the ring and do some boring nonsense to pass 20 minutes, and because their such high rated legends, the audience usually eat it up.
What's /asp/'s opinion on mushin, or other martial concepts? Are any of them applicable or relevant?
>>1100909
Yeah, probably. Not necessarily exactly ,but sure. Of course anything is applicable to anything if you're vague enough. A lot of old shit is basically primitive understandings of biomechanics with some mysticism throw in for the fun. I mean, shit like tai chi is basically ancient Chinese sport medicine.
>>1100909
Most of them are things you achieve as spinoffs from the hard work and struggle of training. You won't accomplish shit listening to your pasty weeaboo sensei prattle about them or reading the Book of Five Rings ten times in a row.
Kind of how "kung fu" just means expertise or hard work or whatever and you could have brilliant kung fu at cooking, I think you can experience mushin on the baseball field or driving around a track.
>>1100909
Of course there important, at least in those arts that include them. At one point many of the older traditions not only had "concepts" but specific methods to achieve them. I still know of arts that include high level Shinto and Buddhist meditation techniques at their highest levels, adapted to serve a specific purpose in training, like a desirable mindset.
That these methods were often kept at the upper levels of the arts and not taught to outsiders or beginners shows they were not for dilettantes...

ITT: People who don't realize wrestling is scripted
I didn't even know or think it was til my dad randomly told me when we were watching it one time. I loved Hogan, Savage, Jake the Snake, Junkyard Dog etc then, and had a bunch of figs.
After he told me I almost immediately started to not care about it, thinking it was for dumb people who didn't realize it was fake.
Then I got back into it in high school during the Attitude Era.
>>1097476
That's kind of shitty of your dad. Kids should come to the realization organically like with Santa Claus, the easter bunny or that "all people are created equally".
