Bolts are placed in the wall on rappel. Quick draws are usually placed as you climb to the bolts and then you clip in to the draw but in the case or dura dura I think they were placed on rappel as well.
I miss the climbing general threads.

It'd be better if you didn't choose just one, but multiple martial arts.
Find a good MMA gym, join, train, improve your hand to hand combat skills.
If you just want to inflict pain, you might want to opt to be a medical doctor or something, and then use your knowledge not to heal, but to inflict pain.
