Women shell out so much cash for these "deadly" self defense classes that obviously don't work. Its kind of sad. Its understandable if they live in a state with crippling gun laws, but here in TN I see women taking stupid shit like "combat yoga" and krav maga for self defense. No amount of groin kicks or biting is going to stop some 200 lb grown ass man from raping the shit out of you if he really wants to. I remember a thread about a guy trying out ballet, so I guess ballet fits in here. I've been doing martial arts for about eight years (mostly Kung Fu and boxing, currently Muay Thai) and my girlfriend used to be really good at figure skating, but has been rather lazy over the last years. So the best compromise we found to discover something was ballet.
The problem is that we obviously have zero experience and we're both already 30 years old. I guess that might be a problem, but on the other hand most schools I've looked up so far claim that they have students...
