Haven't they been doing this for a few years now? New "feud" begins, match takes place with participants in said feud 2x/week until ppv, non-satisfactory match w/ dusty finish takes place, bi-weekly matches continue in the name of "rematch clause" until everyone is sick of all involved

MMA overall is still pretty niche. Its not even more popular than Tennis which isn't as exciting but when you take pic related into account you understand why. Stuff like this still scares and disgusts people. They just don't like watching that kind of stuff. Its more exciting for them to watch people hit a ball back and forth across a court or dance twirling streamers. Not to mention only very small majority of people actually practice MMA to being with. Its even smaller than the amount of people that watch it.
