Engineerfag here who plans a career in the automotive field. What company do you think has the most potential for a great future? I'm currently living in Bavaria so BMW or Audi would be a good option for me but I'm very ok with relocating even to the US if I find the chance.
Your first step should be not to ask 4chan.
>>14673343
Why not. There are not many other places to find lots of car enthusiasts where you can ask without showing all manufactors who asked such a stupid question to put him on the black-list.

Since F1 sucks, this is probably the best racing you are going to see all weekend.
NASCAR ALL THE WAY BABBY!!!
Now that's F1 sound.

Is there a car more reliable and durable than a Corolla?
A Mercedes W123 300(T)D.
As the owner of a 2012 Civic with 120000 miles and zero issues, I'll gladly challenge any Corolla to a durability contest.
>>14673131
Serious question: how does Honda and Toyota make cars so reliable whilst it seems almost every other car, truck, van, and SUV has issues?
Has anyone here actually started racing/rallying after playing relevant vidya games?
Did your vidya experience prove any useful?
only true simulators with relatively expensive input setups will help to an extent
you really need to get out in the car if you want to get good
>>14672941
No, I meant in a way that playing vidya racers actually inspire you to go racing or rallying irl.

So I have a 1990 Honda prelude, and I hit installed three new calipers. When I bled the brakes (as I've done a few times before), the brakes remained spongy. I've now bled them three times and the brakes aw still spongy. Any ideas?
>>14672820
Add brake fluid
>>14672842
Tried that multiple times
>>14672866
I'm assuming you checked for leaks, right?
Were the brakes fine before you switched out calipers? If so, have you tried replacing them with the original calipers?
I'm a little bit disappointed that /o/ isn't talking about the Suzuki Swift le - oh wait that's right /o/ doesn't talk about cars.
Anyway the 2017 model Suzuki Swift was apparently 'leaked' from a 'dealership presentation'. What do you think?

They're clearly trying to make it angrier but the fact that the first two were so cute and bubbly is why I liked them.

I made a thread about it yesterday. Sadly it's not as friendly looking anymore as it used to.
What do you suggest /o/
>>14672160
something safe and easy that you can grow into, nothing too crazy. for this I usually recommend a suzuki hayabusa. Preferably turbocharged if you are a little bigger (over 190 lbs).

What year? How much do you think I would have to spend?
Bump
So I like Landrover defenders, and I would like to own one. However i'm in the US and they're not so easy to come buy. Mid to early 90's models being sold at new car prices basically. Can't get new models here in the US. The pic related won't be able to come into the US for another 25 years. I find occasional listings for older ones that are fixed up for decent prices. I just don't know exactly what I should look for, what are red lights. Things I should know about defenders. Literally anything related to these cars feel free to educate my ignorant ass.
>So I like Landrover defenders
literally why?
>>14672129
I just do, don't know why. They just have an allure I suppose.

Typical Landrover enthusiast I guess.
Hey guys, I need some advice and help on what car to get. My 2001 Ford Focus is starting to take a dump on me and I have about $10000 in cash to use towards a vehicle (or get a loan, but my credit score is only 694 with 6 months of credit history). I also make about $1400 a month with only $300 a month for rent with utilities, giving me $1100 leftover a month for cell phone, food, gas, car payments (if applicable), and car insurance.
I like SUVs, but because of my budget I will be realistic and not charge after one as of now. I have seen a lot of 2015 and 2016 Chevy Sonics...

We can dream.
Also worth noting I can drive manual, but prefer not to.
bump, still looking.
so this person wants to give me 5g of weed to wash her car and do the inside,h should i???
Is she attractive?
That's like $50, give or take
>>14671873
Have some dignity anon, you're better than that.
I used a 2 week free Motortrend trial to watch the Camaro vs M4 head-2-head, and wow, BMW really blew it.
>$81,000
>no steering feel
>poor shifter feel
>less standard features than a Hyundai Elantra
>sounds like crap
>same performance as the Camaro on the track but consistently slower (2 out of 70 attempts) in a drag, and harder to drive fast
Why is BMW doing so poorly...

Style > substance
C63 amg is better than both anyway
>>14671641
It has exterior aesthetics going for it, and interior I suppose if you strongly prefer subtlety, but that's literally it. It didn't do better in any objective or subjective measure, aside from NVH which you hardly care about on a sports car anyway.
>>14671632
I wanna know how they made it sound like a 4 banger?
Amazing trick.
Also I read they semi fixed the steering and shifter issues recently.
Can anyone else just no longer get joy from slow cars anymore?
I rented a c6 z06 for a day and holy shit. I can NEVER go back to a slow shitbox. Even my 420hp 5.0 Mustang feels slow now.
The z06 literally felt like a fucking rocketship. I could hit highway speeds in 1st gear. I have no clue how you guys say a 0-60 time in the 5s is fast.
Im an enthusiast so I like more than mashing the gas like some mongoloid so yeah
>>14671270
To each their own I guess, sometimes people get the straight line rush and never go back, sometimes they get over it and move to a balanced sports car. Others go back to a shitbox. It's exciting, but if put some real thought into whether it's really worth the extra money you could invest to live a more comfortable life later on. >>14671306
There's no real way to tell whether you're a driving enthusiast because you're following whatever makes you happy, which may not make others happy anon
>>14671270
There's more to having fun in a car than straight line speed. I borrowed my uncle's Renault 10 for a week while he and I were doing the headgaskets on my Legacy GT, and it's no speed demon but it'll put a smile on your face even in traffic. What a fun little car, especially for having only 50 horsepower.
