idk man, I think the reason the fad has held on for so long is because it goes hand in hand with participation trophies. The people that are into this are the kids that were bad at sports, and impressionable enough to buy any clothes or listen to any music MTV told them to. Im doing rotor and brake change on my miata at the moment. while I managed to fully finish the job on the front, the rear brakes are a nightmare to finish. I can't get this caliper piston to go back fully even with a giant fucking c-clamp. I literally removed every single bolt aside from the bleeder valve on the caliper and it still won't budge.
I don't know if I have to get new calipers or rebuild them since the previous owner hasn't changed any of the brake pads or rotors since early 2000.
I have an 03 Subaru Outback and whenever I come to a stop in Drive it shakes a bit (sometimes it doesn't do it but most of the time it does) and whenever its in neutral it stops. Should I be worried or is it something small?
Sense DCT's are more closely related to manuals than autos, is it better to put them in neutral when at a stop for a length of time as you would save wear on the clutches or is it better to use them like conventional autos and just hold the break.
also in a manual, does the clutch continually wear as long as you have the pedal in? or is it only when you engage/disengage it?

I've had this annoying whir sometimes when I start my car up, however it goes away when the clutch is in. Been told it may be my throw out bearing. But it shifts perfectly, so there really is nothing for me to worry about.
I suppose it really just depends on the part.
