Anyone else wish there are cheap engine swap options for the Rx-8?
It'd be nice to pick one up for $5k, drop it and $10k off at a shop, and have a sweet reliable 250whp, rear wheel drive, 4 seater coupe for $15k total...

My car is an 05 mazda 6, A/C isn't working. It blows air but at cabin air temperature, no cooling at all. I've checked the refrigerant level, it's normal. Compressor clutch engages when i turn the A/C on and the A/C Fuse and relay are still good. Is there anything else i should check before i bring it in to a shop? Also there's a ticking noise coming from the serpentine belt area that very slightly quiets once the car's up to temp, could they possibly be related?

Hey /o/, I just recently acquired a 99 Mitsubishi 3000GT SL. I've decided I find the engine power lacking. I know this is a newfaggish question, but what are some ways to increase the horsepower of a car? So far I know of turbo/supercharging and cold air intake intake swaps. What would /o/ do to make a car put out more power?

A friend of mine had a 91 stealth for a while.
For those cars, a big thing is weight reduction, so loose anything you don't need and maybe consider deleting some 'active' systems to lighten up. Active areo, suspension, exhaust if it has it.
For power, high flow intake filter, high flow injectors and a tune, exhaust. Underdrive pulleys. The motors on those are pretty stout, the thing you have to be careful with is the transmission, so be careful with that.

Yeah, DCT's are faster than you can shift, but its boring and uninvolving.
Plus, as time passes they will only get faster and faster, and your old DCT will feel slow and jittery, whereas shifting yourself will always feel perfectly fine, because its YOU whose doing the shifting, and it shifts how fast you can do it.

I've driven both the Black WRX and the MS3 and they were both nice cars. I prefer the Black WRX just due to looks but it isn't exactly close to stock anymore, as in the guy who is selling it flips broken cars and he replaced the whole drivetrain as the PO before him had fucked it up. It drove nice, shifted great and I couldn't notice any problems. The MS3 was nice as hell, I love the 6 gears and it feels so aggressive. Only problem was that when I accelerated lightly in any gear going forward, it sounded like a groan from the front of the engine, the owner had all the documents on everything that's been done and why the engine got replaced, and said he took it to 3 different dealers and they said it wasn't an issue. It didn't seem to lack power compared to an other MS3 I drove.
I have the 05 WRX on there because it might be worth looking into even if its out of my budget (10K)
I was also interested in an Neon SRT4 for some time but I can't seem to find one that hasn't been completely fucked, for example I found one that wasn't so bad, but it had a spun bearing and the PO was selling it for 3500.
Any advice boys?

Second, it was built to be a good daily driver, so it has a lot more concessions than the other two. And sayinh AWD is bad is just being retarded.
The Ferrari and Mclaren look so much better, and no AWD to take away from the experience. My guess is that 918 buyers bought them as investments, I don't think anyone actually likes it.

Hey guys I need advice. I was visiting my parents for the weekend and when I was reversing out of my parking spot I hit a neighbor's car.
Pic related was the only damage (small puncture on the bottom left) and they're saying repairs are $570 if I don't want to go through insurance.
Should I just get my insurance company involved?
